OK, it's official the more I learn about this cheapie camera the more I like it.
Out of necessity finding a semi decent camera abroad in a 3rd world country isn't always easy but found this older be still new in the box Canon PowerShot SX 110 IS for usd $200.00 in Guyana South America. Not knowing anything about more expensive camers like a DSLR the 10x optial & 3x digital instead of reversed like my old Nikon I instantly noticed on auto it took closeups of longer range shots than with my S210 Nikon could. (never tried manual since its primary function was to take pics of jewelry to post online)
With the canon on auto or easy getting a decent pic of the moon wasn't happening but after a gentleman showed me how to adjust the settings on manual to get pics of streaked water at a falls I experimented with the settings of got these & thought I would post them for someone that might like a decen't camera on a beer pocket book.
Tried to take pics of the moon once B4 on easy & auto setting but that wasn't happening
Leica minilux
Maybe I ripped the previous owner of this Leica minilux, because he offered it on ebay as "immediate buy" for an insanely cheap price. I bought it very short after it went online. This is the black special edition of the Leica minilux, in mint condition, which is very popular among collectors. I think it was never used before I held it in my hands. The minilux has a superb f/2.4 lens, without zoom. You can manually select the aperture and the focus distance, if you want to. Otherwise, the autofocus is very precise. Unfortunately, you cannot set the shutter speed, but you can adjust it by over- or underexposing the image. Plus, there is a bulb mode if you mount the cam on steady ground. Although not as small as recent digital compacts, the minilux is small enough to carry it around all the time.
