... ali ne po izboru kritičara već kupaca jednog britanskog prodajnog lanca DVD-a HMV. Naime 7000 kupaca tog lanca sudjelovalo je u izboru najfilmova svih vremena preko web sitea tog lanca dućana i odlučilo slijedeće (a objavio web izdanje The Independenta):

Još nekako se mogu i složiti sa nekoliko označenih u prvih deset. Smiješno mi je kako novinar pokušao u članku razložiti kako je koja dobna struktura kupaca odlučivala o svojim izborima, te stoga izvlačim zaključak da mu je neugodno zbog ovakva ishoda ( a što onda, sto ljudi sto čudi) pa su čak objavili i alternativni izbor.
Meni je čisto ok činjenica da se na popisu nalaze četiri Caineova filma, a pogotovo mi se sviđa da je u izboru meni najdraži njegov film "Get Carter".
