This vintage Pilgrim Art hand painted Tole tray was made specifically for the original Kauffmann’s department store in Pittsburgh, Pa.
The beautiful tray could be used as a serving tray, ottoman tray or artwork when hung on a wall.
Kauffmann’s department store was built in downtown Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1887. This tray is estimated to be made around 1950. It is very rare to find a tole tray like this painted specifically for Kauffmann’s.
This black background deco style tole serving tray has a flower designed center. The edge of the tray is painted with gold paint and the edges feature cutout lattice with two handles on edge.
