BIOGRAFIJA
1994. Milano-Andrea Ferro(bass,vokal),
Marco Coti-Zelati(gitara) iz sadašnje Lacune
osnovali su bend pod nazivom Sleep of Right.
Bubnjeve je tada svirao Michelangelo koji ubrzo
odlazi a zamijenjuje ga Leonardo Forti,Raffaele Zagaria(gitara)
a Claudio Leo im se pridružuje kao druga gitara pošto Andrea
prelazi kao vodeći vokal.Sinula im je ideja za back-vokal i to ženski.
Odlučili su potražiti ženski vokal a kako je Cristina Scabbia bila
njihova prijateljica pitali su nju i ona je pristala.
-1996 god. promijenili su ime benda u Ethereal i izdali demo
s pjesmama Frozen Feeling i Shallow end (jako brutalni vokal Andree
a Cristina standardno samo se jako malo pojavljuje njen glas i
Sirenia me podsjeća na Lacunu kada se zvala Ethereal).
Njihove snimke su bile prihvaćene od Century medie i doznalo
se da postoji bend iz Grčke pod istim imenom.
Ethereal morali su promijeniti ime.Smislili su ime Lacuna Coil na
eng.Empty Spiral.
1997.god Raffaele Zagaria, Claudio Leo,i Leonardo Forti
napuštaju Lacunu Coil.
Bend ne odustaje 1998.god. pridružuje im se Cristiano Migliore(gitara)
iz Thy Nature i Cristiano Mozzati(bubnjevi) iz Time Machine a ubrzo
i Marco Emanuele Biazzi(gitara)...
Iste godine izlazi im prvi potpuni album In a Reviere.Idu na turneje...live koncerti....festivali sa In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Nevermore i Theatre of Tragedy....Moonspell...The Gathering..
2000.god izlazi im EP Halflife
Iste godine izlazi im album Unleashed memories
2002.god. izlazi im vrlo uspješan album Comalies s kojim postižu veliki uspjeh
Lacuna Coil je obišla cili svit ehe velike turneje,koncerti,razna događanja;Ozzfest,Download Festival,... prošle su pune 4godine i dalje su bili energični.
Sve do 2005 godine uživo Lacuna Coil nastupa sa svojim starim odličnim stvarima.
2006.god. izlazi Karmacode jako žestok album najžešći do sada a možda im donese i uspjeh kao Comalies jer postaju sve popularniji.
