(T Shirt (album)) T Shirt is a 1976 album by Loudon Wainwright III. Unlike his earlier records, this (and the subsequent 'Final Exam') saw Wainwright adopt a full blown rock band (Slowtrain) - though there are acoustic songs on T-Shirt, including a talking blues.

Today was just aweful. I really just feel like screaming.
I've been trying to help someone out of a bad situation for a long time, and no matter what I do, it just doesn't seem like it's helping.
I feel like a fortune teller that declares the obvious... because, I tell this person over and over... this is a bad idea... and I mean that with every idea they have... EVERY IDEA THEY HAVE... I tell them this. I even tell them the outcome of their actions. And then sure as I'm writing this, it comes true.
I don't want to be right about these things, it's just that some things are ALWAYS a bad idea and that they have ALWAYS have a predictable outcome. The funny thing is that this person always sounds completely shocked when they call up to tell me what just happened.
I'm just at my wits end and don't really know what to do. I kind of have an obligation to do something.
Anyway, I know this is cryptic, it's not important, this is all for me to remember at some point later on.
So this photo? Well, as a teenager, I'd just write a song about what's bothering me and take it out on my guitar... so... here I go..
Speaking of which, Clarissa has asked me to teach her how to play finally. I'm so proud. We sat down for our first lesson tonight. She was actually switching chords pretty good after about 30 minutes.
Oh... and tomorrow should be great! We're getting to see Zoe (aka "The Little Poff") in 4D tomorrow!
Strobist info: Canon 430ex through umbrella at camera right and a Vivitar 285hv behind me at camera left to simulate the lamp light.
The Bras of Rep, 1998
Now, this is a really old photo from high school. There's a story behind this...
For my two years of senior high school I was in the elite drama class they call Repertory Theatre, or just "Rep" for short. We were total drama freaks, as you can imagine, and much hilarity always ensued when we got together.
I think this is how the story goes:
One day we were rehearsing a play and Tara Brooke (the girl seated in the very center of the shot, with short hair and the necklace on) decided that her bra was itchy, so she walked behind the scrim, removed it, and put it on over her clothes instead. Then Tara Brooke--utterly charismatic as always--convinced most of us to do the same and pose with her. We all put on our most serious faces (even though we were nearly losing bladder control from all the laughing) and this photo was taken in front of the scrim, on the main stage of our high school's Performing Arts Center.
As we pulled our bras out from under our shirts we had a conversation along the lines of, "Gee, I'm glad none of us wore our ugly old-lady bras today."
One photo was taken and then the rest of us got photocopies from the machine in the drama office (hence the poor quality of this image.) I'm standing at the very top center with the dark bra (it was bordeaux red and my shirt was orange.)
Although actually... the girl on the far right (Nicole) wasn't really wearing a bra that day so she had to borrow Becky's bikini top.
