Surf the Amber Waves

Before my trip out to Kansas, I did some Googling to see any sort of places I'd want to go check out since I'd never been to the area before. For some reason, I Googled "Kansas, Olathe, surf" for kicks... and the website for this shop came back! The name was enough for me to want to go visit, so armed with several of my prints I set forth upon my journey to the midwest, with a challenge to see if the owner would be interested in trading some of my surf shots for a Shark's logo tee. To my surprise, the workers and owner wasn't like most of the surf shops here that I'm so used to (no cocky surfer attitude!!)... and I walked out the doors with five shirts and had made a great friend in the process!!

Just to let you all know... this store is the result of merchandising genius. The owner did spend some time out here in Cali where its difficult to kick the habit once you've ridden sticks or paddled out. The store is modeled around any typical local surf shop, selling only quality name brand clothing, footwear, and accessories. He does have some sick retro Richards and Stewart boards on display, as well as a super trick, hand built strand cruiser from Encinitas. College kids love it!

blue whale on red

new round neck organic cotton t shirt. The blue whale on white has been really popular so I decided to add a red version for summer. Design is a bit different though as I haven't put the waves in and added a lime star instead. Just looked nice!
