WoW Classic Pre Launch Test Kicks off on August 8
We all know that World of Warcraft Classic – the recreation of the MMORPG as it was at launch – is coming this August. Now we have also learned when users can experience some action before the actual release. Blizzard has announced the WoW Classic pre-launch test, which will begin August 8 at 11:00 a.m. PT. The test will run until an unspecified time on August 9. All players with active subscriptions and left-over game time can participate. In fact, Blizzard implores them to hop in on the fun and play as much as possible in the early hours of the test. That’s when the majority of the team’s monitoring will take place. The level cap for the WoW Classic test will be set to 15.
World of Warcraft Classic is a historical project by Blizzard to recreate the original World of Warcraft 2004 “vanilla” experience. Players have been asking for classic servers for years and about two years ago, Blizzard finally came through. The Classic client can be downloaded through the BattleNet launcher. Simply open the dropdown menu and select “Classic” to begin the installation. By the way, you can buy Cheap WOW Gold Classic from 5mmo.com, where you can enjoy a 3% discount by using the code “5MMO”.
Blizzard also released the specs required to play World of Warcraft Classic. These specs are for the PC and Mac versions of the game, and the bare minimum required is a lot lower than what is asked for Battle for Azeroth. Also, it's worth noting that Blizzard tried running the game on systems manufactured and released in the months between 2007 and 2009, meaning that you can basically run the game on decades-old hardware. It is, after all, just a revamped version of the early years of World of Warcraft. That said, World of Warcraft Classic comes with some improvements, as the hard drive requirements for this title are much smaller now than that of version 1.12 of the original World of Warcraft.
