Evo nešto više o Mace Windu-u


Porijeklom sa planeta Haruun Kala, ovaj tamnoputi Jedi je bio član Jedi Councila u godinama koje su prethodile Klonskim Ratovima.

Roditelji su mu poginuli u nesreći u džungli na rodnom svijetu i predan je Jedi Redu kada je imao samo šest mjeseci. Sa trinaest godina je ušao u Jedi Council i upravo je prešao četrdesetu kada je Qui – Gon Jinn doveo Anakina Skywalkera kao Izabranog.

Bio je poznat kao rigorozna osoba koja je svojim učenicima nametala čvrstu disciplinu, po tome što je sukobe volio rješavati riječima ali i kao jedan od najboljih boraca – poznata je priča kako je uhvatio rupu Gang Killersa ne izvukavši svoj lightsaber.

Prva učenica mu je bila Chalactanka Depa Billaba, koju je spasio kada su pirati zauzeli brod njenih roditelja i pobili sve na njemu. Depu je smatrao kćerkom koju nikada nije imao.
Ideju da Anakin Skywalker počne trening za Jedija smatrao je još jednom budalastom idejom Qui – Gon Jinna, iako su testiranja pokazala da je dječak veoma jak u Sili. Ipak, Qui – Gonova smrt na Naboou je to pitanje opet dovela u centar pažnje i Windu se napokon složio s time da Anakin počne svoju obuku i sljedećih desetak godina motrio je njegov napredak, uvijek tražeći dokaz da je on Izabrani.

Kada je grof Dooku postao vođa Separatističkog pokreta Windu je vjerovao da će se sve moći riješiti pregovorima, pošto je Dooku bio bivši Jedi vitez. Ali kada se oblak Tamne Strane proširio po galaktici bio je prisiljen voditi odred Jedija na Genosis da bi istražio tamošnje aktivnosti.

Jediji su se našli usred okršaja sa vojskom droida i iako je Windu ubio janga Fetta, do izražaja su došli čisti brojevi i Jediji su bili pred porazom – tada je pristigao Yoda sa Republičkom Vojskom klonova i uspjeli su odbiti Bitku kod Genosisa. Ali obojica su bila zabrinuta osjećajem da se nešto više skrivali iza Bitke i samog Genosisa.
Windu je smatrao da je trebao ubiti Dookua kada ja pristigao na Genosis, uništivši tako Separatistički pokret.

Nakon povratka s Genosisa Windu je poslan na svoj rodni svijet Haruun Kal da pronađe nestalu učenicu Depu Bilabu. U džunglama je doživio viziju budućnosti za koju je vjerovao da je slika invazije Yuuzhan Vonga koja je nastupila kojih pedeset godina kasnije.

Han se upoznao sa mladim kockarom po imenu Lando Calrissian. Kockajući, Lando je izgubio svoj brod, Millennium Falcon, I tako se brod naš’o u Solovim rukama. Ben Kenobija I Luke Skywalkera je upoznao na Tatooinu kad su ga ovi tražili za prijevoz do Alderaana. Došli su do Imperijalne postaje, ZVIJEZDE SMRTI. Han je oslobodio princezu Leiu I kasnije pomogao u uništenju ZVIJEZDE SMRTI tako što je pogodio TIE-fighter do Darth Vadera. Ovaj se zabio u Vadera i tako ga izbio daleko u svemir. Sada je Luke u miru ispalio protonska torpeda, pogodio ZVIJEZDE SMRTI I spasio svemir (bar zasad). Od princeze Leie je dobio orden časti. Da ste mu u njegovim uobičajenim danima života (švercanje, borbe, letjelice, lokalni gangsteri) rekli da će sudjelovati u spašavanju svemira, vjerovatno bi vas smatrao najvećim intergalaktičkim idiotom kojeg je svemir ikad vidio.

Jedi je. Pripadnik je ljudske vrste. Muško je i crnac je. Njegov rodni planet je Haruun Kal. Visok je 1.88 metra. Njegovo je oružje lightsaber. Njegova mudrost i iskustvo bili su legendarni. Bio je dobro upućen u jedijsku filozofiju i povijest. Znao je za drevno proročanstvo o Odabranome koji će donijeti ravnotežu Sili. Kada je Qui-Gon Jinn došao pred Vijeće sa zahtijevom da Anakin počne sa svojom obukom za jedija, Mace Windu je bio neodlučan. Sa oklijevanjem, složio se da Anakin može biti testiran za jedijski potencijal. Mada je Anakin imao najveću razinu midiklorana ikada i uistinu pokazao veliki potencijal, Vijeće i Windu odlučili su da Anakin neće biti obučavan za jedija jer je bio prestar da bi započeo život jedija. Nakon Qui-Gonove smrti, Vijeće je Obi-Wan Kenobiju dalo dopuštenje da obučava Anakina. Windu i dalje nije vjerovao Anakinu, osjećao je da je Anakin za svoje godine premoćan i prenepredvidiv. Windu, diplomatske naravi, vjerovao je više u moć riječi nego u akciju. Mislio je da je nemoguće da vođa Separatista, bivši jedi Grof Dooku, stoji iza raznih agresija, napada i nasilja u galaktici. Windu je pojasnio:"Dooku je nekoć bio jedi, nikoga ne bi mogao ubiti". Kada je stiglo obaviještajno izvješće Obi-Wan Kenobija da Separatističke snage, na čelu sa Grofom Dooku, stvaraju golemu vojsku droida i spremaju se za rat, Windu je shvatio da je vrijeme za pregovaranje prošlo. Mada je Windu podsjetio vrhovnog kancelara da su jediji čuvari mira a ne vojnici, čim su Klonski ratovi počeli, jediji su vodili odrede klonova u bitku. Preokreti poput ovog su mučili učitelja Windua, jer su dolazili iznenada, i uobičajeno predviđanje jedija bilo je nepripremljeno. Nešto je zamaglilo budućnost, i povezanost jedija sa Silom je slabila. Otišao je na Geonosis, da oslobodi jedije koje je Dooku zarobio. Windu je ubio Jango Fetta. Windu nije htio Anakinu dati titulu učitelja, mada je Anakin bio u Vijeću. Umro je od električnih munja Dartha Sidiousa.
