DIMENSIONS OF A MICROWAVE. A MICROWAVE
Dimensions of a microwave. Microwave packaging.
Dimensions Of A Microwave
- (dimension) the magnitude of something in a particular direction (especially length or width or height)
- (dimension) property: a construct whereby objects or individuals can be distinguished; "self-confidence is not an endearing property"
- A mode of linear extension of which there are three in space and two on a flat surface, which corresponds to one of a set of coordinates specifying the position of a point
- (dimension) one of three Cartesian coordinates that determine a position in space
- An aspect or feature of a situation, problem, or thing
- A measurable extent of some kind, such as length, breadth, depth, or height
- kitchen appliance that cooks food by passing an electromagnetic wave through it; heat results from the absorption of energy by the water molecules in the food
- a short electromagnetic wave (longer than infrared but shorter than radio waves); used for radar and microwave ovens and for transmitting telephone, facsimile, video and data

Jell-O® Hypercube/Tesseract
:::
The four-dimensional analogue of a cube.
In flavored gelatin.
If you put it into a microwave, it travels through time.
Delicious!
hypercube:
A cube of more than three dimensions. A single (2^0 = 1) point (or "node") can be considered as a zero dimensional cube, two (2^1) nodes joined by a line (or "edge") are a one dimensional cube, four (2^2) nodes arranged in a square are a two dimensional cube and eight (2^3) nodes are an ordinary three dimensional cube. Continuing this geometric progression, the first hypercube has 2^4 = 16 nodes and is a four dimensional shape (a "four-cube") and an N dimensional cube has 2^N nodes (an "N-cube"). To make an N+1 dimensional cube, take two N dimensional cubes and join each node on one cube to the corresponding node on the other. A four-cube can be visualised as a three-cube with a smaller three-cube centred inside it with edges radiating diagonally out (in the fourth dimension) from each node on the inner cube to the corresponding node on the outer cube.
Each node in an N dimensional cube is directly connected to N other nodes. We can identify each node by a set of N Cartesian coordinates where each coordinate is either zero or one. Two node will be directly connected if they differ in only one coordinate.

Prana ^ Pyramid Power
The Pyramid Shape Creates Electromagmetic Frequency Conversion
How much did the Ancient Egyptians know?
According to renown scientist Flanagan, Pyramids with the exact relative dimensions of Egyptian Pyramids act as "an effective resonator of randomly polarized microwave signals which can be converted into electrical energy."
V. Krasnoholovets claimed to have replicated some of those claims. He reported that a razor blade placed in a Pyramid "resonator" became smoother and less angular over time.
Another contention in "pyramid power" is scalar resonance caused by the geometric shape of the Pyramid, also related to shape energy. Any electromagnetic frequencies are converted by the direct influence of the perfect Pyramid shape causing it to act as an accumulator changing them into a new harmonized form of energy or 'prana'.
Fun Facts:
An artifact in Egypt was found that is considered to be the world's first 'battery'.
A plant under a Pyramid shape grows faster than a plant without one.
If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.
The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the World that is still around today.

VHF Airband Receiver - Schematics
WARNING: Ditch the part marked on the schematic as "optional" and use something else if need amplified audio.
This pictured single transistor is a bad design and will cause circuit instability!
This is the Airband Receiver Schematic. It is basically an tweaked version of Richard Anderson's Superregen Receiver (thanks for all the tips and comments, Richard!).
See the remarks below the hand drawing. The circuit is broadband by its nature, but if tuned well enough to the ACARS frequency (131.725) it will allow decoding of the messages even if the voice transmissions will be heard in the background.
WARNING- someone acquainted with electronics might notice that the circuit can be as well built without the front end transistor Q1, by feeding the antenna input directly into the collector of the Q2 transistor. Don't get tempted. THE Q1 IS THERE FOR PURPOSE. Without this stage the receiver *WILL* radiate RF noise back to the antenna, screwing up the radio and tv reception in the area and possibly disrupting aircraft communication !!!
This is illegal and very dangerous so please keep the front part of the circuit as it is. I am not responsible for any consequences of using this or similar circuit.
Schematic of stand growth pattern
This schematic illustrates the logistic growth function that characterizes most forest stands. Early in life, stand-level growth is fast. The growth rate slows as the growing space is occupied and trees become more and more crowded and have to compete more intensely for resources.
This general pattern of growth, combined with higher carbon emissions associated with mortality in the reserve stand, largely explains the almost four-fold difference in the rate of (net) carbon accumulation between the young aspen-spruce stand and the reserved stand across the road.
This figure is used in a blog post describing carbon dynamics in a few Cloquet Forestry Center stands.

Goldstar 3DO
I figured since I was snapping shots, I'd take a nice one of the Goldstar player. This thing doesn't have many good angles. However, I'll cut it some slack. Goldstar was clearly playing up the "high-end entertainment device" aspect of the 3DO marketing, and modeled it as such. It blended in nicely with their Laserdisc, CD and VHS players of the day. Not their microwaves though, those tended to be hulking black plastic monstrosities.
Goldstar 3024
Goldstar had one bus normally outstationed in a car park in Ruthin and it was normally 3024, which still retained MPTE livery.

Easy Pesto Salmon
I love that Publix puts recipes in the packages of meat and fish. Sometimes they are just general cooking instructions, but other times it is a full easy and delicious recipe, such as this one. I used the bake option because it somehow seemed wrong to microwave this (and it seemed like wrapping it would get messy--plus baking it gave me time to clean the dishes I used and the counter before sitting down to eat).
Ingredients:
- 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 package of prepared refrigerated pesto sauce
Instructions:
1) Rinse salmon fillet under cold water and pat dry.
2) Place in a glass pie plate and baste with olive oil and minced garlic. (Although fresh garlic is always best, I think the pesto sauce was flavorful and oily enough that you probably do not need this step. I may just season it with some garlic powder next time before adding the sauce.)
3) Spread an even amount of pesto sauce until the fillet is well coated with approximately 1/4 inch layer of sauce (I don't think I used this much and it was plenty rich and tasty).
4a) Cover in plastic wrap and place in microwave for 3 - 3 1/2 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
OR
4b) Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Do not cover or turn if baking.
5) Serve hot. I served it with the leftover veggies from last night, which where skillet potatoes and green beans.
(After seeing how well the last picture of the pita pizza came out against the wood background, I realized that my food pics looked like crap because I was trying to get the whole plate for some stupid reason. So in this photo I arranged the veggies closer to the fish and got in close to make for a more appealing food photo)
365 Day 25
I wish I knew more than I did. I think our experiences completely shape us into who we are. If I had it my way, I’d go in a time machine and visit the year 10,000 BC. I’d take a ride on a wooly mammoth and try to communicate with a prehistoric homosapien. Just to spend time on planet earth without all the bullshit seen in the middle of this photo would be great. All the buildings, cranes, pollution, and trash that we have produced on this planet really blind us.
I’d love to go to the year zero and go hang out in Egypt and Italy and see what life is like there. Most of all I’d want to see how people lived in cities and got along without electricity. Electricity is such a staple part of everything we do in life that most of us don’t realize that just a few generations ago that we lived completely without electricity. Even in the mid 1800’s most of us didn’t have light bulbs, cars, microwaves, outlets to plug anything into, hair dryers, laptops, telephones, washing machines, ovens, heaters, air conditioners, I could go on and on. These are things we just take for granted.
I think all this crap has just made us lazier. We don’t appreciate the fact that we get home from work and push a tiny switch and all our light comes on. Imagine having to come home from work and just worry about whether your home will still be there. Then you’d have to find enough wood to keep a fire going all night to give you light, keep you warm, and to use to cook the food you’d be lucky to have in the first place.

What Is Zen?
A fervent, lifelong student of Zen, Alan Watts shows us that it is both an experience — a singular, powerful moment of realization — and a simple way of life, with an awareness that affects every moment of every day. Adopted by mainstream America in a way that carries only a vague association of its roots in Zen Buddhism, Alan Watts makes it clear that any exploration of Zen must understand and embrace its roots as a form of Buddhist practice derived from its Chinese and East Indian sources. Examining the background of Zen in East Indian religion, Watts shows us its evolution through the religion of China. Zen is a synthesis of the contemplative insight of Indian religion and the dynamic liveliness of Taoism as they came together in the pragmatic, practical environment of Confucian China. Watts gives us great insight into the living moment of satori and the release of nirvana, as well as the methods of meditation that are current today, and the influence of Zen culturally in the arts of painting and pottery.

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
How many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea?
Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head,
Pretending he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Earth's Best Organic 1st Fruit Starter Kit, 2.5 Ounce Jars (Pack of 12)
Contains 4 Bananas, 4 Apples and 4 Pears Earth's Best Organic Foods Organic foods offer countless healthful benefits for you, your children and the world around us. With The Hain Celestial Group's family of organic brands and Earth's Best you can be sure you are giving your family the highest quality organic foods. Earth's Best For Infants From the day they are born, infants rapidly change and grow. And so do their food preferences. That's why Earth's Best offers a wide variety of formulas, cereals, jarred food blends and juices to ensure your baby gets the wholesome and pure nutrition they need. Earth's Best Organic 1st Fruit Starter Kit, 2.5 Ounce Jars Earth’s Best organic first fruit starter pack contains an assortment of three unadulterated fruits--bananas, apples, and pears--perfect for babies more than four months old. After your baby develops a tolerance for infant cereal, introduce this single ingredient pureed fruits. Earth's Best makes the first foods with only the freshest organic fruits and vegetables. The variety pack is a great way to add convenience to your life--easy to shop for and simple to store. It is also packaged in a sturdy storage tray that clearly indicates each flavor. This is sold in a pack of twelve 2.5-ounce jars, 3 jars each of the different fruits. Why Organic? Choosing organic is choosing to live a healthier life. Organic foods are produced without the use of potentially harmful chemicals and synthetic pesticides or growth hormones. This is even more important when we consider infants. For four to six months following birth, infants receive most of their nutrition from breast milk or infant formula. It is so important that these formulas contain the safest ingredients. If ingested, potential toxic chemicals or heavy metals can lead to compromised immune system development. Likewise, young infants consume disproportionately high levels of fruits and vegetables when compared to adults. This increases their risk of exposure to potential contaminants found among non-organic products. Finally, Earth's Best products do not contain genetically engineered ingredients (GEIs), made by inserting genes from one plant into a strain of another to produce more crops or control pests. Why organic? It is better for you, your child and the environment they will grow up in. The Earth's Best Difference: Organic ingredients grown without harmful pesticides No Genetically Engineered Ingredients (GEIs) Most items made only from whole grains No added salt, modified starches or refined sugars No artificial flavors, colors or preservatives Kosher (excluding meat varieties) Rigorous product testing As your little one grows, you'll have to make a lot of choices. With Earth's Best choosing the right food is easy. They create high quality, organic products grown by the some of the best farmers, filled with the best ingredients and tested for the highest level of purity and freshness. Earth's Best organic products help protect the earth so future generations have healthy food to eat and a healthy world to grow up in. That makes a big difference for your little one. About Earth’s Best Earth’s Best is the first and only full line of organic baby food. Earth's Best organic provides "better for baby" products with the freshest, purest ingredients, so parents can nurture their baby's health with the utmost confidence. Earth’s Best is organic certified by Oregon Tilth, an agency accredited by the USDA. That means they procure ingredients that do not contain potentially harmful synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or genetically engineered ingredients (GEIs). It also means that they can proudly display the USDA organic logo on their packaging. No wonder, Earth’s Best has been trusted and preferred by parents, grandparents, and caregivers alike for the past 25 years. Today Earth’s Best offers organic formulas, snacks, meals, and even earth-friendly baby body products for your little one. By expanding the trusted Earth's Best brand beyond baby foods they hope all children will grow up with the freshest and purest products possible in a clean and safe world. Earth's Best Quality Promise Earth's Best produces food with the highest degree of attention to quality and safety. Each ingredient is tested for pesticides and potentially harmful residues. No product is released until Earth's Best quality assurance department approves laboratory results, ensuring they meet the strict standards for organic certification. Earth's Best organic infant formula contains no toxic chemicals or heavy metals. Earth's Best organic infant cereals provide an excellent source of iron to aid early physical and neurological development and restore the iron depletion that results after birth. Earth's Best organic baby juice comes from fresh pressed, undiluted, single strength juice, not from concentrate. Earth's Best organic produce does not expose infants to the higher level of contaminants found in conventional produce. Proportionately, babies consume up to four times the fruits and vegetables that adults consume. Earth's Best organic jarred fruits provide an excellent source of vitamin C to aid the absorption of iron and help fight infections.

definitely not diet food.
we're huge pasta/carb fans and this is one of my favorite dishes to cook up because it is so easy and simple to make. essentially it's an all in one dish without having to think of the sides. we try to keep it somewhat healthy with organic produce and whole wheat pasta but it is still definitely a sinful but "delightful" (mikaila's words) dish.
the sauce is really basic and you can add or change your proteins and vegetables to change the flavor profile.
3/4 stick of butter
1 quart of heavy whipping cream
3 tbs flour
2/3 cup of grated parmesan
3 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
1/4 vidalia onion (i grate mine to "hide" them..but chopped will work fine)
12 oz cooked sweet peas *
1 1/2 pounds of turkey breast **
1 1/2 pounds of shrimp ***
12 oz fettucine pasta
a couple drizzles of olive oil
onion powder, seasoned salt, garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
* i cheat most of the time and just get the steam fresh packs that you can just pop in the microwave...hey...less dishes and a whole lot fresher!
** we get the farm raised organic kind but any type of poultry will work really
*** we use the quick frozen kind...they thaw really easy and are a lot of fresher when you live no where near an ocean. :P
this can be done earlier in the day..
sprinkle onion powder, garlic powder, and seasoned salt onto both sides of the turkey and put in a zip loc bag to marinate. repeat same process with shrimp making sure to pat it dry and place in a seperate zip loc bag. leave in the fridge until you are ready to cook them.
cut up the stick of butter into two sections
heat up a pan and melt one section of butter into it.
add a drizzle of olive oil so the butter doesn't burn.
pan-fry the turkey making sure to get a nice brown on both sides. (ideally, you only want to flip it once so it stays moist and juicy inside)
remove from the pan and let it rest on a chopping board.
pan-fry the shrimp the same way.
when the turkey has cooled down and the juices have been reabsorbed, cut up the turkey into cubes/bite size pieces.
put turkey pieces and shrimp into a bowl with saran wrap over or into a closed container.
on a seperate burner, start boiling the water for the pasta. add salt and oil..this is the only time you'll really get to flavor the pasta so be generous with the salt. when the water comes to a rapid boil...add pasta.
(while preparing the sauce, remember to constantly stir or use a whisk so it doesn't clump up or burn)
use the same pan from the turkey and shrimp and melt more butter and oil.
stir fry the garlic and onions till they're nice and fragrant.
add flour to start making a roux making sure to get the flour nicely browned so you don't have a "doughy" taste.
add the heavy whipping cream and parmesan cheese.
add salt and pepper to taste.
stir, stir, stir until it comes to a boil and sauce begins to thicken.
add the turkey and shrimp
drain and add pasta
add peas
combine, stir, and enjoy!

Kitty litter (cake), anyone?
So.... okay.... It's a dessert served in a litter pan...with a scoop.
I've made it a few times. Two birthdays and one April Fools Day Party... Surprisingly the kids look as horrified as the adults but eventually every takes a scoop.
In case you have an odd sense of humor here is the recipe -- including what I did that was a bit different.
KITTY LITTER CAKE
1 spice or German chocolate cake mix
1 white cake mix
1 large pkg vanilla instant pudding mix
1 pkg vanilla sandwich cookies
Green food coloring
12 small Tootsie Rolls
1 new (and definitely unused) kitty litter pan
1 new plastic kitty litter pan liner
1 new Pooper Scooper
Prepare cake mixes and bake according to directions (any size pans).
Prepare pudding mix and chill until ready to assemble.
Crumble white sandwich cookies in small batches in food processor, scraping often. Set aside all but about 1/4 cup.
To the 1/4 cup cookie crumbs, add a few drops green food coloring and mix using a fork or shake in a jar.
When cakes are cooled to room temperature, crumble into a large bowl. Toss with half the remaining white cookie crumbs and the chilled pudding. (Mix in just enough of the pudding to moisten it. You don't want it soggy. Combine gently).
Line new, clean kitty litter box.
Put mixture into litter box.
Put three unwrapped Tootsie rolls in a microwave safe dish and heat until soft and pliable.
Shape ends so they are no longer blunt, curving slightly. Repeat with 3 more Tootsie rolls and bury in mixture.
Sprinkle the other half of cookie crumbs over top.
Scatter the green cookie crumbs lightly over the top. (This is supposed to look like the chlorophyll in kitty litter.)
Heat 3 Tootsie Rolls in the microwave until almost melted.
Scrape them on top of the cake; sprinkle with cookie crumbs.
Spread remaining Tootsie Rolls over the top; take one and heat until pliable, hang it over the side of the kitty litter box, sprinkling it lightly with cookie crumbs.
Place the box on a newspaper and sprinkle a few of the cookie crumbs around.
Serve with a new pooper scooper.
In my experience with doing the recipe:
1. I used german chocolate cake mix and while it was YUMMY I found the color and look of the cake too dark. German chocolate cake mixes used to be a lighter color but no more... If I could have found spice cake mix (I couldn't) I might have used that, it would have had a much more 'sandy', litter-ish look. Another option might be a white cake mix and some food coloring -- the professional stuff.
2. Pre- made pudding is easiest and the less pudding the better. I made this cake at home and brought it someplace. Kept everything in baggies and assembled it in the litter box when I got there. It works best if assembled right before eating because the pudding will make it soggy if it sits too long.
3. You can't have too many tootsie rolls. Surprisingly. The recipe doesn't call for nearly enough!
Bon Appitite.

MICROWAVE FREQUENCY RANGES : MICROWAVE FREQUENCY
MICROWAVE FREQUENCY RANGES : MICROWAVE FOR CHEAP.
Microwave Frequency Ranges
- (FREQUENCY RANGE) The range of frequencies that a microphone can reproduce, for example 50 Hz 15 kHz. This figure should also be qualified by a +/-dB measurement such as +/-3 dB or +/- 6 dB.
- (FREQUENCY RANGE) A band of frequencies of electromagnetic energy expressed in Hz (cycles per second), kHz (thousand of cycles per second). A power line RFI filter is expected to have attenuation over a given frequency range, typically 150kHz to 30MHz (above 30 MHz noise mainly is radiated).
- (Frequency range) A frequency range or frequency band is a range of wave frequencies. It most often refers to either a range of frequencies in sound or a range of frequencies in electromagnetic radiation, which includes light and radio waves.
- An electromagnetic wave with a wavelength in the range 0.001–0.3 m, shorter than that of a normal radio wave but longer than those of infrared radiation. Microwaves are used in radar, in communications, and for heating in microwave ovens and in various industrial processes
- cook or heat in a microwave oven; "You can microwave the leftovers"
fokkerd7
Since I use my shop to make a lot of parts for my RC Models, I thought I would put in a picture of our club flying field and one of my models, a Fokker D7. This model has a 50 inch span and I use a Saito 4 stroke for power. It was winter here in Central Oregon when this was taken a few yrs ago, and the grass had turned brown, but some of us fly year around, even use skis when the snow comes and its 15 or 20 degrees out! (our little building has a wood stove, coffee pot, microwave etc. so its really fun to fly here in winter). Our grass strip is about 125 x 425 feet and not much around except sage brush. We fly with the sun at out backs looking at the Three Sisters Mountains and the cascade range; an absolutely beautiful flying site. Our club has about 35 members and on a good day, we will have between 8 and 14 flyer's turn out....not much waiting to fly!! Elevation here is about 3500 feet. Two of us in our club are Ham Radio Operators, and we put in a weather station on 2 Meters, on the national APRS frequency. The wind speed, direction and temp. are transmitted every 9 minutes and one of our local home 2M stations picks up the signal and puts it on the internet so all members, hams or not, and anyone else round the world can log on and see what the weather is like out at the field! Saves driving out in the morning when you look and see the wind is blowing 20 mph!!
If you have any questions or comments about the RC aspect of my post, then perhaps contact me off list, so as not to get off topic on the groups..I am always happy to chat about RC.!!

UPDATE ON URINE-BASED MARKERS FOR BLADDER CANCER: How sensitive and specific are the new noninvasive tests? (Postgraduate Medicine)
Cystoscopy is considered the "gold standard" for identifying bladder cancer, but it is invasive. Urine cytology is noninvasive and quite accurate in detecting high-grade bladder cancer and carcinoma in situ, but its ability to detect low-grade cancer is limited. Therefore, urine-based marker tests are being developed to fill some of the remaining needs. These new tests are noninvasive and accurate in detecting low-grade bladder cancer, so they are especially useful in monitoring for recurrence. The authors discuss the status of research on urine-based marker tests as well as when to use them.

Velcro is microwaving corn in the husk! I found this recipe on google and it is DELICIOUS! I will never boil it again!
----------------------------------you are in for a treat because there's no better way to cook corn on the cob than by microwave. Since you don't cook in water the nutrition is higher and the flavor is incomparable, and oh, so easy.
There are several ways to cook corn on the cob by microwave.
1. My favorite is to just place the corn, in the husk as it came from the stalk, around the edge of the turntable in the oven. Microwave on high for about 2-3 minutes per ear. Feel the ears to be sure they are very hot and grasp the ear in a kitchen towel and peel off the husk and silk; the silk comes off like magic. Eat and enjoy! The corn will be so sweet you don't even have to season or butter it.
