Dynamic Flash Photo Gallery Template

Shake your hair
This shot was a bit tricky! My equipment for this picture was an Panasonic Lumix GF1 with an 20mm pancake lense and an old Pentax AF-16 flash. In those days I did not own a remote trigger so I used the following trick.
1. Attach the camera on a tripod and set the selftimer to 10 seconds.
2. Set the exposure time to 2 seconds
3. Focus on the model manually
4. Turn off the light. The room has to be completely dark.
5. Start the self timer and position yourself with the flash in your hand in front of the model (in my case I was on a 90° angle right to the camera)
6. Wait until the camara shutter triggers.
7. Now you have 2 seconds to say "ACTION", the girl shakes her hair and you trigger the flash with its test button.
You have to figure out the right aperture and the distance of the flash to the model. It needs some shots to capture the right moment. This was my third shot.
Dynamic (350/365)
I downloaded a trial HDR programme so am using it to the max before the trial runs out! Quite like how this turned out. It's a nice subtle HDR effect as opposed to the overcooked HDR effects that put me off venturing into HDR for so long.
