MAKING OF JE SUPER FORMA

Upravo sam snimio, izrežirao i smontirao dokumetnarni film o stvaralačkom, mukotrpnom procesu nastanka filmskog djela. Nadam se da će taj film koristiti autorskom timu u svrhu analize i budućeg pospješivanja u radu na novim filmovima. Svima koji su učestvovali će nadam se, biti lijepa uspomena. Jako je intrigantna i provocirajuća making of forma. Kroz dokumentarna sredstva i sve što dokumentarna forma donosi autor vrši sjajan kreativni trening. Priprema je od velikog značaja. Imati spremne kasete, baterije, upaljenu kameru, imati strpljenja, koncentracije, kondicije i maksimalnu percepciju, osječaj za etiku i moral.... to je samo djelić stvari koje su neophode za suštinki ispravan film. Film koji se bavi živim organizmom, a to je film. On se pravi, on se stvara, raste, rađa, čuva i pušta u samostalni život. Inspiraciju za film, ne izričito za formu koliko za odnos s pričom i materijom pronalazim u neiscpnoj povijesti filma. Iako moj s par nagrada nagrađeni dokumentarni film Halid Bunić Vječni nije u tom fazonu, a ovaj Making of Making of jeste, osnova dokumetnarnog pristupa mi je Andzej Vajda i Kino Oko. Eto :)

‘Making of’ is a great form

I have just shot, directed and edited documentary about creative and painstaking process of movie arising. Hopefully, this film is going to be of help to the author-team, in a sense of advancing analysis and bringing progress to their future work. It will also (let’s hope so) be a nice reminiscence from the shooting for everyone that took part.

I find ‘making of’ a very intriguing and provoking form. Through the documentary and everything that this variant of filming brings, the author is able to perform a great creative training. Being well prepared is of high importance! One needs to have everything ready…cassettes, batteries, camera on…to have patience, be concentrated, physically prepared…o switch perception to maximum, to have sense of ethics and morals…this all is just a bit of what one needs to posses in order to make a substantially good film. A film that deals with a living organism-which is also a film. It is being made, it’s arising, growing, being taken care of and then let into the life all by itself.

The inspiration for the film, not as much for the form as for the relation with the story and the essence, I find mostly in the infinite history of the film. Although my documentary ‘Halid Bunic Vjecni’, which has been rewarded on few festivals, is not in this manner, and this ‘Making of making of’ is, the substance of my documentary approach can be found at Andzej Vajda’s and Kino Oko’s.
