Volunteers needed
I have been testing updates for a short while now, and so far so good on one machine. I can't say I've noticed any significant upgrades in the apps, but I can't say I've seen them deactivate either so I guess that's a good thing. The updates were, however, only tested on a machine running Photoshop solo, without the master collection.
I need your help. If you've got a good and working installation of CS4 which you've been using for a while, and if you've been able to successfully run all apps and use them for at least 5 minutes (or at least kept them running for 5 mins), AND if you followed MY instructions to install the suite AND if you're willing to potentially ruin it and have it deactivated only to be forced to re-install it again, all in the name of progressing piracy, I would like you to e-mail me with the subject "Update testing", or just click on this link:

I'll put you into a table and log your results and your system configuration. I'll cross reference them with others and try to reach some conclusions. I'll also be doing some testing here on my own, so I'm hoping to have some decent results within the month from the moment we first start testing. You will also be entered into a separate mailing list regarding only updates testing, and you'll be contacted about changes, developments and progress or setbacks.
Please take this request seriously. If you decide to help, I'll be expecting you to cooperate as often as possible, so if there's a chance of you saying something like "I promised my neighbor I'd remove her zits from a photo so I can't test PS for a week, sorry", please don't apply. Also, please make sure you enter the appropriate subject so my filter can do the sorting of testers. If you by any chance have multiple machines you'd be able to test on, all the better!
Note: It doesn't matter whether or not you have the whole suite installed, as long as you have one working CS4 application and a killed Adobe Updater, you're an excellent candidate.
