  • Minor hockey is an umbrella term for amateur ice hockey which is played below the junior age level. Players are classified by age, with each age group playing in its own league. The rules, especially as it relates to body contact, vary from class to class.

Max Eastman, (1883-1969) Critico literario y editor estadounidense. Fue alumno junto con Sidney Hook de John Dewey. Fue publicista de los IWW y luego comunista en los anos veinte. Publico en el New York Times el Testamento de Lenin en 1924.Eastman trabo amistad con Trotsky cuando estuvo durante un ano en Rusia en 1923. En esa decada tradujo un gran numero de las obras de Trotsky al ingles. En 1941, abandona el marxismo y comienza a trabajar como editor de la Reader's Digest. En esta revista, publicita las obras de los economistas austriacos ultra liberales Ludwig Von Mises y Fiedrich Von Hayek.

Eastman Terrace was a sort of "build it and they will come" development from the 1850s intended to provide park living in Poughkeepsie. Although it never lived up to expectations, the structure still survives as an intact nineteenth-century Second Empire block. Part of Eastman Park remains as well.
