referee
This is a picture I took of a referee who was officiating a McGill Intramural hockey game. I learn a lot from referees through the way they manage the game of hockey. If there wasn’t any referee, then there wouldn’t be any order and everyone would just hit each other at will. The presence of the referee basically ensures a mutually respectful environment between the two teams. As a referee myself, I am constantly learning on the job and discovering that there are rules in place to handle just about any situation. More importantly, I learn the importance of game management so everything functions smoothly.
