The liquid enamels are torch-fired and are a permanent part of the earrings. They are finished with pink glass seed beads and handmade sterling silver ear wires. I have had an obsession with faces for the last 40 years. I have drawn them, painted them, photographed them, and now I have them in metal. The ones that intrigue me most are the faces of many generations of my family members. These earrings are a composite of many years of working with familiar faces.
