It's been a year... ...since the flamingoes came to visit us. Flamingoes migrate to Cyprus (in Larnaca and Limasol saltlakes) in search of a warmer climate to spend their winter. So we are fortunate enough to welcome them again this year on our island (there are seasons were there is nil rainfall in Cyprus, resulting in a dry saltlake hence no food - something which drives them away). Dromolaxia Shortly before landing in Larnaka. This was the last of four flights I had to take on the trip from Austin, Texas, to Nicosia, Cyprus. (The full routing was Austin - Dallas - New York - Athens - Larnaka - Nicosia; the final leg was by bus as Nicosia Airport has been closed since 1974). Window seat, Cyprus Airways A320.
