Snow Bales

Snow Bales

This particular field of Hay Bales has been present for quite some time and unlike many others that still exist from the last harvest the bales have maintained pretty good shape considering the weather that we have seen in 2010. I like this image for the light dusting of snow that is on the ground and the bales themselves. I also liked the composition with the leading tractor marks to the bales themselves.

Red backed salamander, lead-backed phase, camera lens

This salamander crawled right onto my macro lens as I was photographing it. So I grabbed an image with my pocket camera. Note: I digitally cleaned up the dust on the lens because the flash brought out every particle.
