Home Recording Studio ~ 96 of 365 Today I set up my Olympus LS-10 Linear PCM recorder so it comes up over the top of the music on my piano. I had been putting it on a little camera tripod off to the side of the piano and wasn't totally happy with how it recorded the sound. I got a clip on tripod thing that had a gooseneck thing on it which I unscrewed and put on another little tripod that I could put on the back of the piano and ended up with the perfect recorder holder! Also, the built in speakers on the back of this recorder are very weak and usually I'd have to hook it to the computer to hear it or take the SD card out of it and put in the computer to listen back to it. I found a little set of speakers that are meant to listen to an mp3 player and hooked them to the earphone jack of the recorder and now you can listen to the recorder through the little speakers off to the side. So, now you can play something and listen right back to it and get immediate feed back. This will be the perfect learning tool for my piano students (and for me). My students concentrate so hard on counting and playing all the notes that they really don't hear what they really sound like when they play. I really like this Olympus recorder, have had it for 9 months now and it works really well.
