This model J66 Polaroid camera like many others has found it's way to yard sale tables. But it represents a period in photography that was very exciting, being one of the early examples of instant photography. Before there were any 1 hour photo stores or color video or digital photography there was this huge, heavy black and white instant film camera. Each image had to be coated with a clear protective coating after it had developed. If you wanted an enlargement you had to send out your print to be copied onto traditional negative film.

This is a very nice 1963 Polaroid Automatic 100 Land Camera. This camera had two important first, number 1, it had the first mass produced transistorized shutter, and number 2, it was the first Polaroid pack-film camera. It used Type 107 and
Type 108 films when it came out in 1963. Production for this camera ran through 1963 until 1966.
