BUSH FLOWER REMEDY

My third and final wedding cake for the weekend, ( I also had a tiered first birthday and smash cake that aren't pictured, for one person it was a VERY busy week, not to mention we had a blizzard early in the week, and I was scared to death we'd lose power)...

this was an oval cake, and the bride and groom chose to have the right side lined up, as opposed to centering each tier. The swags were done with the clay gun ( my husband helped me with this job, stronger hands made a huge difference), the drop pearls were done using a first impression mold. ( my first time using it, I love it! )

the florist and I arrived at the same time, which worked out great. We had to make a few changes with the topper, and then worked together to complete the flowers. The wedding was at St. Clements Castle in Portland CT, it was my first time there.

There's a relatively new florist in town here in Middletown, CT called Green Dahlia. They're putting their designs on display in banks, in coffee shops and other places to raise awareness of their business. They do great work and I'm happy to support them by promoting their work on my Flickr account.
