Crystal Head Vodka recycled glass skull

This is a recycled Crystal Head Vodka. Skull Bottle (750 ml), made by Bruni Glass in Milano, Italy. My daughter works in a vodka bar and this brand was the featured vodka recently. She started bringing them home and they literally began to stack up. Yes, they are cool bottles but, being the crafty chicas that we are, we thought we could make 'em way cooler. So this is what we came up with. I would love some feedback!

The bottle is, of course, empty and treated with a clear acid free sizing. The interior is finished with colored mica powder and sealed with black acrylic paint. We have finished the top of the bottle with silver tape and wrapped the neck of the bottle with hemp twine so we could dangle the cutest little skull and cross bone beads. All of the decoration is on the interior. Liquid will mar the finish, so no go on fresh flowers or other liquids.

Each bottle comes out differently and the colors seem to be ever changing in different light. We have been trying to decide what to do with our beautiful little heads and have come up with some of the following uses:

book end (maybe you should get two)
day of the dead decor
maybe a door stop if it's filled with sand, or
a vase for silk flowers

Teal and purple wedding shower

I was asked to make a cupcake tower and mini cake for a wedding shower in light teal and purple with butterflies and flowers. The cake is a 4 inch mini and the cupcakes were lemon with a lemon curd filling, chocolate with a rasberry filling and vanilla with a strawberry filling. Everything was iced in a vanilla meringue buttercream and decorated with MMF.

Following the terrorist attack in Oslo, there was a gathering outside City Hall of 200,000 people - a third of the entire city - where everyone carried flowers. Roses if they could get them - the symbol of the party the Utoya victims belonged to is a red rose - but people brought what they could get. I saw a couple of potted plants... Afterwards they were asked to leave their flowers all over the city. This week, the streets have grown roses, so have lamp posts, Police cars, sculptures, streets, fir trees, and the barricade around the site of the explosion.
This is a fountain between the National Theatre and Parliament, a statue of Henrik Wergeland in the background. People have left - and still leave - flowers and candles floating in the fountain. On the left, somebody is lighting a candle. The flowers were four days old when this photo was taken, and naturally withering, though they kept better here than many other places, being in water.

There are numerous Paintbrush species growing in Yellowstone. This particular flower is an orange-colored perennial. It has a very long stem with one flower at the top and soft hairs on the stem and on the edge of the leaves. I've seen it growing on the same forested slope near Slough Creek for years behind the campground at the end of June and in early July but I've never been able to identify it, specifically. If you're familiar with this flower and can provide the exact species/subspecies information along with your confirming source, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks for your help!
