Vincent Lecavalier Team Canada
SOLD!!
This is the 2004 Team Canada 4th jersey of Vincent Lecavalier. The jersey was worn during a pre-tournment exhibition against Team Slovakia on August 28, 2004 in Ottawa, Ontario. Lecavalier scored one of the 2 goals in the game which resulted in a 2-2 tie. January 5. This photo explains the way my heart feels after watching the United States snatch victory away from the Canadian Junior Hockey team. Truth be told, the US team played better and with a lot of heart, blocking so many shots. But it's still Team Canada I must cheer for.
So I figure we meet at the border next weekend, pitchforks in hand to start the invasion?

Good morning, Flickrites. :)
I decided to spare you all from the ambush of my face on my photostream, and mix tings up a bit. I was just playing around a little outside (and BRR it's could out), and I just thought it'd be cute to do something with my sticks. And I like the way it turned out. So there. :)
So I procrastinated wayyy too much yesterday. I got some homework done, but not enough. So I get to dedicate today to Algebra 2. Yippee. But last night, I watched the 1966 version of Batman. You know...the one staring Adam West? haha. Yeah. It was hilariously bad. I laughed so hard whenever Robin said his "holy ____" lines. Like "holy bikini, Batman!". Really? Since when are bikinis holy. Anywho, I now have a new found respect for our modern day Batman movies.
And I have a goal for the next week or two-- to get 1,000 (total) views. I'm pretty close! i already have 700. 300 to go!
So, off to work. Enjoy your Sundays everybody. :)
Fact: I've been on my school's Junior Varsity team for both my freshman and sophomore years in high school.

Utah Grizzlies
The Utah Grizzlies were an ice hockey team in the International Hockey League and American Hockey League. They played in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA at the E Center.
The Utah Grizzlies, which moved to Utah following their only season in Denver, Colorado shortly after the NHL's Quebec Nordiques announced their relocation to become the Colorado Avalanche, was admitted to the AHL when the IHL folded in 2001. They played their home games in the E Center and the Delta Center.
While in Denver, the Grizzlies won the 1994-1995 Turner Cup, the official Championship of the International Hockey League. After relocating to Salt Lake City, the Utah Grizzlies once again marched to victory in the IHL playoffs. Utah swept the Orlando Solar Bears 4 games to 0 to win the 1995-1996 Turner Cup. The fourth (and final) game of the series was played in the Delta Center; 17,381 fans attended, which set a national record for largest attendance at a minor league hockey game.
The franchise was granted a voluntary suspension for the 2005-2006 season while the owner found a buyer for the AHL franchise. That buyer arrived in May 2006, as the owner of the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers, Dan Gilbert, purchased the franchise to replace the departing Cleveland Barons. On January 25, 2007 it was announced at a press conference that the new Cleveland team will be called the Lake Erie Monsters. The Lake Erie Monsters took the ice for the 2007-08 AHL season.
Jeremy Morin, Rockford IceHogs
Jeremy Morin is a Chicago Blackhawks prospect playing with their AHL affiliate Rockford. He'd been injured in the previous night's game and was signing autographs during intermission of the Chicago Wolves-IceHogs game I attended with a Chicago friend (she got a stick signed by players). I didn't meet him; I found this under a seat after the game. (It seems more likely to find stuff left behind at a game if the home team loses, but Rockford won 4-3 in overtime.)
My first hockey autograph of 2010-11. (Actually, I only have one from 2009-10.)
Morin was called up to a couple games with the Blackhawks soon after I posted this...doesn't look like it got it any extra views from searches, though!

New Baltimore senior Matt Brancaleone skates down the ice while playing a pick-up game of ice hockey Saturday afternoon atop on of Central Michigan University's Rose Ponds near the Student Activity Center. Brancaleone and two of his friends cleaned the snow off of the ice with two shovels. Though it took the trio about 45 minutes to clear, they set up a busted hockey net and began shooting for about an hour. "We've wanted to come out here since sophomore year," he said. "I was a bit worried about thin ice at first, but now that we've played I can say I enjoy not falling through it. This is basically our last hoorah before the semester kicks off."
Ryan Getzlaf goal
On the first SOG of the game, just 1:18 into the game, Ryan Getzlaf scores. Immediately after the goal Edmonton goaltender Jussi Markkanen left the game and went directly to the locker room, and wasn't seen the rest of the game.
NOTE: The Edmonton web site later said that Markkanen was in "discomfort". He was the backup in the next game and after that got the start against the Kings and won and played the distance in that game.

Ducks over Sharks at Cost Plus World Market, Village of Orange
This is a display of childrens' hooded towel robes on sale in Cost Plus World Market at The Village of Orange. By coincidence, I noticed this display this past Sunday, but didn't have my camera with me at the time. I wondered then if it would be an omen that the Anaheim Ducks would take the series in the first round of the NHL Western Conference for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Omen or not, the Ducks beat the San Jose Sharks at the Honda Center last night in Game 6, and I just had to go back to the store today to capture a photo of this display before it went away. For day 70. I tried. hmmm. today was a day where we had a tornado warning. Which is rather rare. I woke up, went to church, had a brunch and watched my Dad become a 'warden' for the Knights if Columbus all before I normally would have woken up...
The rest of the day was a blur of Pandora, sewing a fresh bag and putting together my friends coming-home present. I hope she absolutely loves it. I miss her dearly.
Tomorrow she returns home and I have to go to field hockey try-outs without her. She isn't playing next year. I am terrified of tomorrow. I don't know what to expect. I need to run my 7:15 mile time. I need to. I can't run that mile all week. I just need to do. No thinking allowed. Keep me in your thoughts.
And add me on tumblr? :)
