(15) 1388 NOROOZ (New Day) The Persian New Year Norooz in Persian means "New [-year]-day". It is the beginning of the year for the peoples of Iran (Greater Iran, including: Afghanistan, Arran (Republic of Azerbaijan) and Central Asian Republics). It begins precisely with the beginning of spring on vernal equinox, on or about March 21. Tradition takes Norooz as far back as 15,000 years--before the last ice age. King Jamshid (Yima or Yama of the Indo-Iranian lore) symbolizes the transition of the Indo-Iranians from animal hunting to animal husbandry and a more settled life in human history. Seasons played a vital part then. Everything depended on the four seasons. After a sever winter, the beginning of spring was a great occasion with mother nature rising up in a green robe of colorful flowers and the cattle delivering their young. It was the dawn of abundance. Jamshid is said to be the person who introduced Norooz celebrations. Avestan and later scriptures show that Zarathushtra improved, as early as 1725 BCE., the old Indo-Iranian calendar. The prevailing calendar was luni-solar. The lunar year is of 354 days. An intercalation of one month after every thirty months kept the calendar almost in line with the seasons. Zarathushtra, the Founder of the Good Religion, himself an astronomer, founded an observatory and he reformed the calendar by introducing an eleven-day intercalary period to make it into a luni-solar year of 365 days, 5 hours and a fraction. Later the year was made solely a solar year with each month of thirty days. An intercalation of five days was, and a further addition of one day every four years, was introduced to make the year 365 days, 5 hours, and a fraction. Still later, the calendar was further corrected to be a purely solar year of 365 days 5 hr 48 min 45.5 sec. The year began precisely with the vernal equinox every time and therefore, there was no particular need of adding one day every four years and there was no need of a leap year. This was [and still is] the best and most correct calendar produced that far. Some 12 centuries later, in 487 B.C.E., Darius the Great of the Achaemenian dynasty celebrated the Norooz at his newly built Persepolis in Iran. The Persepolis was the place; the Achaemenian king received, on Norooz, his peoples from all over the vast empire. The walls of the great royal palace depict the scenes of the celebrations. Since then, the peoples of the Iranian culture, whether Zartoshtis, Jews, Christians, Muslims or others, have celebrated Norooz precisely at the time of vernal equinox, the first day of the first month, on about March 21. Today, the ceremony has been simplified. Every house gets a thorough cleaning almost a month before. Wheat, barley, lentils, and other vegetables seeds are soaked to grow on china plates and round earthenware vessels some ten days in advance, so that the sprouts are three to four inches in height by Norooz. Family members, all dressed in their best, sit around the table and eagerly await the announcement of the exact time of vernal equinox over radio or television. The head of the family recites the Norooz prayers, and after the time is announced, each member kisses the other and wishes a Happy Norooz. Elders give gifts to younger members. Next the rounds of visits to neighbors, relatives, and friends begin. Each visit is reciprocated. Singing and dancing is, more or less for the first, a daily routine. The festivity continues for 12 days, and on the 13th morning, the mass picnic to countryside begins. It is called sizdeh-be-dar, meaning "thirteen-in-the-outdoors." Cities and villages turn into ghost towns with almost all theinhabitants gone to enjoy the day in woods and mountains along stream and riversides. People sing, dance, and make merry. Girls of marriageable age tie wild grass tops into knots and make a wish that the following Norooz may find them married and carrying their bonny babies! A few days prior to the New Year, a special cover is spread on to the Persian carpet or on a table in every Persian household. This ceremonial table is called cloth of seven dishes, (each one beginning with the Persian letter Sinn or S). The number seven has been sacred in Iran since the ancient times, and the seven dishes stand for the seven angelic heralds of life-rebirth, health, happiness, prosperity, joy, patience, and beauty. The symbolic dishes consist of: 1.Sabzeh or sprouts, usually wheat or lentil representing rebirth. 2. Samanu is a pudding in which common wheat sprouts are transformed and given new life as a sweet, creamy pudding and represents the ultimate sophistication of Persian cooking. 3. Seeb means apple and represents health and beauty. 4. Senjed the sweet, dry fruit of the Lotus tree, represents love. It has been said that when lotus tree is in full bloom, its fragrance and its fruit make people fall in love and become oblivious to all else. 5. Seer which is garlic in Persian, represents medicine. 6. So Fabric Paper Doll Gift Set - Ireland I love mixing felt with cute fabrics, so imagine my delight when I came across some darling vintage style paper doll quilting fabric. Do remember playing with these paper dolls as a girl? They orginally came out in the early 20th century, and then enjoyed a revival in the 70's and 80's. Now they're back with a modern twist--fabric, not paper! The doll stands about 7" high and is backed with a stiff interfacing and fusible webbing, so not only is she sturdy, she is also fray-resistant. The clothes and accessories are backed with fusible fleece so they magically stick to the doll--no tabs needed! This doll is from the "dolls around the world" collection. She represents Ireland and comes with three dresses (including one with a darling cape), a bouquet of flowers from the Irish countryside, and an adorable white kitten. What a bonny lass! I made and designed the carrier myself, with a matching Irish doll applique on the front, blanket-stitched edges, and a velcro open and close disguised by a ribbon and decorative button. The pockets on the inside are made with charm squares from Moda's enchanting "Lily and Will" line. bonny flower girl dresses Lumberjack Soul is the first album by alternative soul singer Miles Bonny from Kansas City. For the most part, carnations express love, fascination, and distinction, though there are many variations dependent on colour. The most common colour for carnations include red, white and pink. Orange carnations like the ones above are rare and mostly only found in the Himalayas. Light red carnations represent admiration, while dark red denote deep love and affection. White carnations represent pure love and good luck, while striped (variegated) carnations symbolise regret that a love cannot be shared. Purple carnations indicate capriciousness. In France, it is a traditional funeral flower, given in condolence for the death of a loved one. In France and Francophone cultures, carnations symbolize misfortune and bad luck.[citation needed] Pink carnations have the most symbolic and historical significance. According to a Christian legend, carnations first appeared on Earth as Jesus carried the Cross. The Virgin Mary shed tears at Jesus' plight, and carnations sprang up from where her tears fell. Thus the pink carnation became the symbol of a mother's undying love. Carnation is the birth flower for those born in the month of January. The Hereford Map: Transcription and Translation of the Legends (TO 1) (Terrarum Orbis) The Hereford Map, a depiction of the inhabited world drawn around 1300, is among the largest surviving examples of medieval mappamundi. It measures 1.59 meters by ca. 1.30 meters (52 1/2 inches by c. 52 inches). On it appear some 1,091 inscriptions, or legends; most of these are placed adjacent to a painted figure of what they identify. They range from simple place-names to long descriptions containing historical, ethnographical, theological and zoological information. The book's introduction offers essential background on the Map's history, sources, and scholarship. Particularly important is an explanation of its close relationship to a text recently discovered - Expositio mappe mundi - a work most composed a century before the Map was made. Right-facing pages contain, for each legend: (1) an exact line-for-line transcription, (2) an edited version of this transcription, and (3) an English translation. Left-facing pages offer commentary on each legend, giving information about its literary and cartographical source, the item it identifies, and textual problems. Included in the book is a colour illustration of the entire Map (approximately 40% of its actual size), as well as detail photographs, taken in January 2001 under special conditions, enabling readers to see each legend precisely, as well as to locate all transcribed and translated text. Because of its thorough examination of all aspects of the Map, this book is a tribute to the richest, most complicated surviving example of medieval cartography, as well as an essential tool about medieval culture. (15) Please leave your wolf outside! THE HOUND OF HEAVEN I fled Him, down the nights and down the days; I fled Him, down the arches of the years; I fled Him, down the labyrinthine ways Of my own mind; and in the mist of tears I hid from Him, and under running laughter. Up vistaed hopes, I sped; And shot, precipitated Adown Titanic glooms of chasmed fears, From those strong Feet that followed, followed after. But with unhurrying chase, And unperturbed pace, Deliberate speed, majestic instancy, They beat--and a Voice beat More instant than the Feet - "All things betray thee, who betrayest Me." I pleaded, outlaw-wise, By many a hearted casement, curtained red, Trellised with intertwining charities; (For, though I knew His love Who followed, Yet was I sore adread Lest, having Him, I must have naught beside) But, if one little casement parted wide, The gust of His approach would clash it to Fear wist not to evade, as Love wist to pursue. Across the margent of the world I fled, And troubled the gold gateways of the stars, Smiting for shelter on their changed bars; Fretted to dulcet jars And silvern chatter the pale ports o' the moon. I said to dawn: Be sudden--to eve: Be soon; With thy young skiey blossoms heap me over From this tremendous Lover! Float thy vague veil about me, lest He see! I tempted all His servitors, but to find My own betrayal in their constancy, In faith to Him their fickleness to me, Their traitorous trueness, and their loyal deceit. To all swift things for swiftness did I sue; Clung to the whistling mane of every wind. But whether they swept, smoothly fleet, The long savannahs of the blue; Or whether, Thunder-driven, They clanged his chariot 'thwart a heaven, Plashy with flying lightnings round the spurn o' their feet:- Fear wist not to evade as Love wist to pursue. Still with unhurrying chase, And unperturbed pace, Deliberate speed, majestic instancy, Came on the following Feet, And a Voice above their beat - "Naught shelters thee, who wilt not shelter Me." I sought no more that, after which I strayed, In face of man or maid; But still within the little children's eyes Seems something, something that replies, THEY at least are for me, surely for me! I turned me to them very wistfully; But just as their young eyes grew sudden fair With dawning answers there, Their angel plucked them from me by the hair. "Come then, ye other children, Nature's--share With me" (said I) "your delicate fellowship; Let me greet you lip to lip, Let me twine with you caresses, Wantoning With our Lady-Mother's vagrant tresses, Banqueting With her in her wind-walled palace, Underneath her azured dais, Quaffing, as your taintless way is, From a chalice Lucent-weeping out of the dayspring.' So it was done: I in their delicate fellowship was one - Drew the bolt of Nature's secrecies. I knew all the swift importings On the wilful face of skies; I knew how the clouds arise Spumed of the wild sea-snortings; All that's born or dies Rose and drooped with--made them shapers Of mine own moods, or wailful or divine - With them joyed and was bereaven. I was heavy with the even, When she lit her glimmering tapers Round the day's dead sanctities. I laughed in the morning's eyes. I triumphed and I saddened with all weather, Heaven and I wept together, And its sweet tears were salt with mortal mine; Against the red throb of its sunset-heart I laid my own to beat, And share commingling heat; But not by that, by that, was eased my human smart. In vain my tears were wet on Heaven's grey cheek. For ah! we know not what each other says, These things and I; in sound I speak - THEIR sound is but their stir, they speak by silences. Nature, poor stepdame, cannot slake my drouth; Let her, if she would owe me, Drop yon blue bosom-veil of sky, and show me The breasts o' her tenderness: Never did any milk of hers once bless My thirsting mouth. Nigh and nigh draws the chase, With unperturbed pace, Deliberate speed majestic instancy And past those noised Feet A voice comes yet more fleet - "Lo! naught contents thee, who content'st not Me." Naked I wait Thy love's uplifted stroke! My harness piece by piece Thou hast hewn from me, And smitten me to my knee; I am defenceless utterly, I slept, methinks, and woke, And, slowly gazing, find me stripped in sleep. In the rash lustihead of my young powers, I shook the pillaring hours And pulled my life upon me; grimed with smears, I stand amid the dust o' the mounded years - My mangled youth lies dead beneath the heap. My days have crackled and gone up in smoke, Have puffed and burst as sun-starts on a stream. Yea, faileth now even dream The dreamer, and the lute the lutanist; Even the linked fantasies, in whose blossomy twist I swung the earth a trinket at my wrist, Are yielding; cords of all too weak account For earth with heavy griefs so overplussed. The Master cried: ‘It liveth--breatheth--see! Its soft lips open wide-- It looks from side to side-- How strange they gleam on me, The little dim eyes of the Tree!’ The Master said: ‘After a million years, The Seed I set and fed To itself hath gathered All the world’s smiles and tears-- How mighty it appears!’ The Master said: ‘At last, at last, I see A Blossom, a Blossom o’ red From the heart of the Tree is shed. ’Tis fairer certainly Than the Tree, or the leaves of the Tree.' The Master cried: ‘O Angels, that guard the Tree, A Blossom, a Blossom divine Grows on this greenwood of mine: What may this Blossom be? Name this Blossom to me!’ The Master smiled; For the Angels answered thus: ‘Our tears have nourish’d the same, We have given it a name That seemeth fit to us-- We have called it Spiritus.’ The Master said: ‘This Flower no Seed shall bear; But hither on a day My beautiful Son shall stray, And shall snatch it unaware, And wreath it in his hair.’ The Master smiled: ‘The Tree shall never bear-- Seedless shall perish the Tree, But the Flower my Son’s shall be; He will pluck the Flower and wear, Till it withers in his hair!’ by Robert Buchanan (1841-1901) ***************************oOo*************************** Have a NICE day my friends!!! majestic hair flower Majestic Therma Base Shirts...Cool Weather Training Apparel! Tulips: Facts and Folklore About the World's Most Planted Flower Tulips: Facts and Folklore About the World's Most Planted Flower celebrates this enduring flower and how it has captured the hearts and imaginations of gardeners and collectors for over 500 years. Lavishly illustrated with photographs by the world-renowned photographer Malak, Tulips is a stunning pictorial history of the flower's beauty and versatility. Arriving from Turkey and taking Western Europe by storm, tulips have endured and are a mainstay for gardeners and collectors alike, with varieties still grown today that originated in the seventeenth century. Tulips also represent the deep friendship between the Netherlands and Canada, forged by the vagaries of World War II and the role this country played in liberating the Netherlands. Any visitor to Ottawa will marvel at the assortment of tulips adorning the grounds surrounding the Parliament Buildings. Included are numerous photographs that reveal the cast bulb fields of Holland, home of the tulip. Readers will discover many little-known facts about tulips, including that they can be eaten and that there are more than 3,000 varieties grown all over the world in every shade of the rainbow-and black varieties as well. Master gardener Sonia Day combines tulip lore with practical tips for growing tulips in your own garden. She shares her extensive knowledge of the subject with readers and offers many ideas and suggestions for successfully and easily cultivating tulips at home. (7) Venus Fly Trap Flower I acquired a Venus Fly Trap (Dionea muscipula), and having been growing it. A few weeks after I got it, it started growing a flower spike. I had never heard of these plants flowering, so I looked it up and sure enough they do. This is the result. The Venus Flytrap, Dionaea muscipula, is a carnivorous plant that catches and digests animal prey—mostly insects and arachnids. Its trapping structure is formed by the terminal portion of each of the plant's leaves and is triggered by tiny hairs on their inner surfaces. When an insect or spider crawling along the leaves comes into contact with one or more of the hairs twice in succession, the trap closes. The requirement of redundant triggering in this mechanism serves as a safeguard against a waste of energy in trapping objects with no nutritional value. The plant's common name refers to Venus, the Roman goddess of love, whereas the genus name refers to Dione. Dionaea is a monotypic genus closely related to the waterwheel plant and sundews. No, I don't think so. ~~~~~~ There's this person who profeces out loud: "F*** the whales and rivers! I want my beauty lotions, I won't change my lifestyle to 'save the planet', I won't have children and I won't be here when earth falls apart, I just don't give a F***, I don't care!" and on she goes with her profanities. You see, at a barbecue we were having drunk conversations stating that nearly everything we do, pollutes earth. The making of our daily coffee sends dirt to rivers. The making of alluminum cans uses a god awful lot of clean water. It's said that the estrogen so many women take on a daily/monthly base (for birth control) goes all back to the rivers and that's why it's said that more women are being born in the world nowadays. It's a bit naive or even hypocritical to blame the cattle industry for all the incredible amount of methane gas each cow produces everyday. Or the extension of the lands used in their upbringing. Why try to make other people eat less meat, but no one talks about drinking less coffee, less beer, less everything in order to "save" the planet? But then again, groups have to focus on an area of protection of their choosing, but should keep in mind that things must be reviewed in almost all areas, that one must do what one can to help keep the planet "running". However, while there are some who worry and help, there are just as many or even more doing exactly the contrary. Frustrating. The I-don't-care people should realize that if people don't change their thoughts and habits, soon there won't be whales for their "beauty lotions", lobsters for their fancy dinners, lungs for their smoking, and they would have to change their lifestyle anyway and they'd probably be in a worse condition than they are now (meaning they would have cancer and suffer and die but I don't think they understand that). They usually say that it will a problem for them to deal in the future. False Day Flower False day flower (Commelinantia anomala). This Mickey Mouse flower is the "false" version of the day flower, otherwise known as Widows' Tears. Both are common wayside flowers, but the false day flower is more lilac. The day flower is blue. Had the image been of just one flower, it wouldn't have made as a good picture in my opinion. I liked how both aligned to make a pleasing arrangement. I photographed it in a local park. Incidentally, I came back to the same spot some time later and found that all the flowers were mowed down. I asked the groundskeeper why they were all gone and was told that they consider them weeds and wack 'em down whenever they can. GAH!! Modeling chocolate flowers. Flower ideas for weddings Modeling Chocolate Flowers
Modelling Chocolate is my new best friend... Chocolate cupcakes with vanilla/milk chocolate buttercream. Decorations made from modelling chocolate My sister made me some modelling chocolate (she knows what gets me excited lol!) in white and dark. It's the MOST INCREDIBLE THING EVER!!! You can mold it like fondant, colour the white chocolate, it's easy to make, dries semi hard, can do intricate details without supports (the feelers on the butterfly), needs no dusting wth icing sugar/greasing to cut it or stop it sticking to your hands, and it sticks together without glue! Perfect for those of you who think fondant is evil tasting - this stuff tastes like Tootsie Rolls. She's glad to share the recipe: 10 oz chocolate 1/3 cup glucose syrup Melt chocolate, wait for it to cool a little. Warm glucose syrup in microwave for a few seconds and add to melted choc. Stir until all glucose is mixed in. Should form into a ball. Do not over mix! Pat down into a container lined with greaseproof paper. Goes quite hard, but you can make it pliable by kneading it with your fingers. Chocolate Flowers I'm so sorry for not commenting and replying to e-mails. The request was for an all chocolate cake ,no fondant flowers. I made these flowers with chocolate modeling paste. Christian Doctrine of God, One Being Three Persons In this ground-breaking work, T.F. Torrance aims to clarify understanding of the most profound article of Christian Faith, the doctrine of the Holy Trinity. The Trinity is gounded upon God's historical self-revelation in Jesus Christ. It is presented in this work as teaching which is implicit in the New Testament revelation and in the worship of the Early Church, rather than as a logical derivation from other aspects of Christian doctrine. Adopting a holistic approach, Torrance explains the inter-relatedness of the three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - and their dynamic Communion in the Truine Being and Nature of God. Combining immense academic range with new theological perpectives, Torrance expounds the basic teaching of the ancient Catholic Church and builds a significant bridge between ancient and modern, Catholic and Evangelical theory. Thomas F. Torrance is Emeritus Professor of Christian Dogmatics, University of Edinburgh. There Are Three Flowers In A Vase - Flowers Native To France. There Are Three Flowers In A Vase
There Are No Children Here: The Story of Two Boys Growing Up in The Other America This is the moving and powerful account of two remarkable boys struggling to survive in Chicago's Henry Horner Homes, a public housing complex disfigured by crime and neglect. There Are No Children Here, the true story of brothers Lafeyette and Pharoah Rivers, ages 11 and 9 at the start, brings home the horror of trying to make it in a violence-ridden public housing project. The boys live in a gang-plagued war zone on Chicago's West Side, literally learning how to dodge bullets the way kids in the suburbs learn to chase baseballs. "If I grow up, I'd like to be a bus driver," says Lafeyette at one point. That's if, not when--spoken with the complete innocence of a child. The book's title comes from a comment made by the brothers' mother as she and author Alex Kotlowitz contemplate the challenges of living in such a hostile environment: "There are no children here," she says. "They've seen too much to be children." This book humanizes the problem of inner-city pathology, makes readers care about Lafeyette and Pharoah more than they may expect to, and offers a sliver of hope buried deep within a world of chaos. (8) Cockscomb Bengali name: Morog Ful (???? ???) Scientific name: Celosia Cristata Cockscomb flowers are also known as Wool Flowers or Brain Celosia, suggestive of a highly colored brain. The flowers belong to the amaranth family, Amaranthaceae. Cockscomb bloom with a compacted crested head 2-5 inches across, on leafy stems that are 12-28 inches long. The flower's name is suggestive of a rooster's comb. Cockscomb Flower blooms from late summer through late fall. The Celosia plant is an annual dicotyledon. Celosia species include Celosia argentea and Celosia spicata. Cockscombs are the crested variety (Celosia cristata). The flowers come in attractive red leafed varieties as well. Although there are many dwarf cultivars available today, the original types were fairly tall plants.Three forms were introduced into England from Asia in 1570. == Cockscomb Facts == * The exact origins of Cockscomb in the wild are unknown, though some assign the geographical origins to the dry slopes of Africa and India as well as the dry rocky regions of both North and South America. * Celosia comes from the Greek word 'kelos', meaning burned; apparently referring to the look of the brightly colored flowers in some species. * There are about 60 species of annual or perennial Celosia. * The contorted floral heads of crested types of Cockscomb continue to enlarge throughout the growing season and often have colorful foliage as a complement. * Standing on long stiff stems, Cockscomb make excellent fresh as well as a dried cutflowers. * In China the flower is called chi kuan, cockscomb where it is extensively cultivated. * Celosia cristata are widely beleived to have developed from Celosia argentea, which is listed as native to India but is common in the wild in China. * Cockscomb Flower is seen in vibrant yellows, pinks, reds, gold Colors. * Cockscomb has no fragrance. * Cockscomb Flower has 5-14 days of vase life. * Cockscomb flowers are said to resemble rooster combs or convoluted brains, Celosia argentea (Cristata group) * In West Africa, Central Africa, and Southeast Asia, Celosia argentea is grown as a leaf vegetable and cereal crop. In southern Nigeria, it is the most important leaf vegetable and is known as soko. * Celosia cristata is a common garden ornamental plant in China and other places. == Growing Celosia == * Plant seedlings 8 inches apart in full sun and well-drained soil. * Plant seeds indoors six to eight weeks before your region's last frost, then plant outdoors 8 inches apart. * Keep soil moist. Cockscomb does best in hot, slightly dry conditions, but will wilt if overly dry. Avoid wetting the flowers or leaves to prevent fungal diseases. * Fertilize every four weeks or so. Cockscomb benefits from regular fertilizing. * Pull out and discard in fall, once frost kills these plants. == Celosia Plant Care == * Cockscombs are easy to grow from seed, either indoors under lights or outdoors in the garden. * Space plants 8-12 inches apart depending on expected height of the variety you are planting. * Cockscombs grow best when mulched. * Spray the foliage of flowering annuals with a dilute solution of liquid fertilizer to give them a hot weather energy boost. * When the plants die with the first hard frost, remove them to the compost pile but keep the beds mulched right through the winter, ready for next year's plants. Nicholson, Winifred (1893-1981) - 1940s Flowers in a Jug (Sotheby's London, 2004) Oil on canvas laid down on board; 55 x 40.5cm. Winifred Nicholson was an English painter and colorist who developed a personalized impressionistic style that concentrated on domestic subjects and landscapes. In her work, the two motifs are often combined in a view out of a window, featuring flowers in a vase or a jug. Nicholson was born in Oxford. Her parents were Charles Henry Roberts and Lady Cecilia, daughter of George Howard, 9th Earl of Carlisle. Her interest in painting started early in life. George Howard was an accomplished painter as well as a friend and patron of many distinguished artists. Nicholson began painting with Howard around age 11. She attended the Byam Shaw Art School. Nicholson married the artist Ben Nicholson in 1920. There were three children; Kate Nicholson also became an artist. In the 1920s Winifred became a Christian Scientist, an allegiance that lasted for the rest of her life. Although it is sometimes said incorrectly that with Ben, Winifred formed part of the artist colony at St Ives, Cornwall, she was never permanently living there. Although she painted less in the abstract style than in the representational, she did experiment with her own form of abstraction in the 1930s. Influences between her and Ben were mutual, Ben often admitting he learned much about color from his first wife. After they separated, she lived half of each year during the 1930s in Paris. After her divorce from Ben Nicholson in 1938, she spent most of the rest of her life in Cumberland, at Boothby and at Bankshead. She painted prolifically throughout her life, largely at home but also on trips to Greece and Scotland, among other places. Many of her works are still in private collections, but a number are in the Kettle's Yard art gallery, Cambridge, and several key works belong to Tate. One painting is believed to have hung at 10 Downing Street. She had a lifelong fascination for rainbow and spectrum colors and in the 1970s she made particularly strong, innovative use of such colors in many of her paintings. there are three flowers in a vase When Chelsea Handler needs to get a few things off her chest, she appeals to a higher power—vodka. Seems reasonable, when considering that she discovered her boyfriend was having an affair with a Peekapoo and she had to pretend to be honeymooning with her father in order to upgrade to first class. Welcome to Chelsea’s world—a place where absurdity reigns supreme and a quick wit is the best line of defense.. In this highly entertaining, deliciously skewed collection, Chelsea mines her past for stories about her family, relationships, and career that are at once singular and ridiculous. Whether she’s convincing her third-grade class that she has been chosen to play Goldie Hawn’s daughter in the sequel to Private Benjamin, deciding to be more egalitarian by dating a redhead, or looking out for a foulmouthed, rum-swilling little person who looks just like her...only smaller, Chelsea has a knack for getting herself into the most outrageous situations. Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea showcases the candor and irresistible turns of phrase that have made her one of the freshest voices in comedy today... Well the other day I needed something to put on canvas so I went and borrowed some tulips. The tulips you get from the florist have there leaves removed as the bruise easily but I managed to get these before she removed the leaves. I love the effect. Tulips - multicolor sea not my 1st time to take the "sea" of Tulips, but as always Tulips draws my attention to watch it & do some snap shot a bit Related topics: fountain city florist girl flower headband flower delivery holland central point florist children's flower girl dresses flowers for cheap flower wood carving black and white wedding flower arrangements how to press fresh flowers |

Air-cooled Heat Exchangers And Cooling Towers: Thermal-flower Performance Evaluation And Design, Vol. 2 This new text represents the most detailed and comprehensive book presenting modern practice and theory relevant to the thermal-flow performance evaluation, design, and optimization of air-cooled heat exchangers and cooling towers. Kroger provides modern analytical and empirical tools used to evaluate the thermal-flow performance and design of air-cooled heat exchangers and cooling towers. He also covers how to prepare improved specifications and evaluate more critical bids with respect to thermal performance of new cooling systems. Further, Kroger explores improvement possibilities with respect to retrofits of existing cooling units as well as possible impacts of plant operations and environmental influences. (13) Wish you could see this better-used flowers and everything Well, it is 96 degrees already and is supposed to get over 100 and we're in a heat advisory-sooo I decided to wear as little clothing as possible that still covers me where I need to be and still am modest-I attempted to take some pics, and actually used some props for the first time and the turned out really crapp-I don't know what was wrong with the lighting-I think it was something on the camera-it worked fine the other day though, but they came out really dark and I am really disappointed because they were really awesome pics-maybe I will take some out in the sunshine later...to get the full affect of my outfit :-) Bouquet of Flowers If you are going to use my photos for anything, please give my flickr or tumblr credit!
