Concrete Flower Planter - Where To Buy Cheap Flowers - From Local Florist. Concrete Flower Planter
Planter with Kale This planter was created on the spot, in the ground, and is about four feet across. We began by digging a bowl shaped hole and then filled in the shape of the planter with a mixture of concrete and peat moss. This allows the planter to absorb a certain amount of water and become more mossy as time goes by. It was then pried up out of the ground and hosed off and filled with potting soil. The mixture of annuals used here reflects the garden after the first couple of frosts. Flowering kale, dusty miller and alyssum all look good after cold weathr has taken most of the annuals we plant. They eventually fade ass winter takes it's toll but sometimes the dusty miller which is an artemisia, survives the winter and gets new growth in the Spring. But don't count on it! Dry Island Bed across the Concrete Courtyard - April 2006 In the dry center bed those are 'Strausii' cactus and an Agave attenuata beyond and under the Palo Verde tree. Below the tree are yellow Freesia flowers and Graptopetulum. In the near, circular planter are succulents and a small Beshorneria in bloom. Between the concrete slabs is the Thyme 'Elfin'.
