BLANCHARD GOLD EAGLES

This is an old style analogue double exposure - with a pinch of coincidence because of the limited control over the composition (plus a few days of anxious waiting until you see the results...).

The background is a concrete wall in the marvellous Rietberg museum*, where donators buy a symbolic gold leaf and glue it on the wall. I found the magnolia in the beautiful park that surrounds the museum.

This is the entrance to the old gold souk. Not as impressive as I had imagined. As an outsider each of the gold shops looked about the same as the other - I wonder how people pick where to buy.
