Danish Modern Dining Tables
- Danish modern is a vintage style of minimalist wood furniture from Denmark. Popular in the 1940s, 50s and 60s, Danish modern is part of the mid-20th century Danish design movement, and is commonly constructed of teak. Noted Danish furniture designer Finn Juhl popularized the style.
- A table on which meals are served in a dining room
- The first dining tables of which survivors remain are the type known as refectory tables. They are made usually of oak, and one of the earliest, at Penshurst Place in Kent, has a typical thick top of joined planks supported on three separate trestles.
Danish Modern Chair
A Danish modern chair I bought from a local seller on Ebay for $60. I am debating on recovering it, as the naugahyde has seen better days. For now a sheepskin helps warm it up and cover the worn spots. We hope to tear out this depressing dark carpet and replace with wood, or even white painted wood floors hopefully this Spring.
Danish Modern dining set
The couple that is selling the buffet and hutch is also selling the teak dining set. I've already got a nice dining set and I'm not going to replace it, but since ya'll are enjoying that Danish Modern credenza, I thought I'd throw more beautiful design onto Flickr.
