Tiffen 67mm Uv Filter
- This coating is a filter for the harmful UV radiation. The coating is either put on the lens or is imbedded into the lens to protect your eyes for the harmful effect of the sun’s UV radiation.
- UV filters are individual compounds or mixtures to prevent ultraviolet (UV) light from coming through. UV filters are used in sunscreens to protect skin or in photography to reduce haziness or fogginess created by ultraviolet light.
- This is an Ultra Violet absorbing filter that helps overcome the abundance of blue in outdoor photographs. Not really necessary in digital photography as the camera's white balance system adjusts for the colour temperature of the scene.
- Tiffen Manufacturing Corporation is a company in Hauppauge, New York, U.S.A. which manufactures filters for photography, and other professional film and photography-related products.
Tiffen 67mm Photo Essentials Filter Kit
Protect your camera lens from ultraviolet light while boosting your artistic possibilities with the Tiffen Photo Essentials filter kit. The kit--which includes an ultraviolet filter, circular polarizer, and warming filter--is an ideal accessory for photographers with 67mm filter diameters. The ultraviolet filter prevents UV light from reaching the lens, helping increase clarity and reduce haze. As a result, your photos look crystal clear even in mountainous and coastal areas, where ultraviolet light is particularly strong. The circular polarizer, meanwhile, is essential for outdoor photography, as it deepens the intensity of blue skies and reduces or eliminates glare. (Note that the circular polarizer is designed expressly for autofocus cameras.) Finally, the kit offers an exclusive color-warming filter that improves the color of all skin tones. Ideal for portraits, the color-warming filter absorbs the blue cast often caused by electronic flashes or outdoor shade, adding warmth to pale, washed-out flesh tones. As a bonus, the kit includes a pouch for filter storage.
The prepackaged assortments provide a range of artistic possibilities.

A Furrowed Brow
Here, friends, is my old dog, Oliver, he is so to reach a 'more than ripe' age of 10 which, for a French Bulldog, isn't too bad, considering their renowned respiratory issues when faced with dangerous factors such as the British summer. Anyhow, this was one of the first photo's I ever took with my 60d and I really like the way that the grainy black and white effect that was on my camera already, has worked. One evening I looked over to the Aga to find Ollie slumbering, counting z's, I recognized an excellent opportunity to capture an enthralling image, as a wise old man once said, "The contrast between the furrowed brow and the forehead, combined with the greyscale and close-up shooting afford the image a personal feel, whilst producing an excellent piece of art, which delves deeply into the depths of the human soul." He is a great companion and I recommend the breed to anyone who is after a small, with a kind nature, and 'clever'. It's a shame about the corner of his bed really..
Thanks for looking! Tom
