Infrared camera trap. Aqua underwater camera.
Infrared Camera Trap
- A thermographic camera, sometimes called a FLIR (Forward Looking InfraRed) or infrared camera less specifically, is a device that forms an image using infrared radiation, similar to a common camera that forms an image using visible light.
- An instrument that measures heat. Infrared cameras are often used to detect weather patterns or volcanic erruptions.
- Electronics, lens, and detector combinations that give the user an image, which can be viewed or recorded, of energy in the infrared spectrum.
- Basalt or a similar dark, fine-grained igneous rock
- a device in which something (usually an animal) can be caught and penned
- place in a confining or embarrassing position; "He was trapped in a difficult situation"
- catch in or as if in a trap; "The men trap foxes"
BuckEye Cam Apollo Wildlife Camera
From the makers of the first Long Range Wireless Camera comes the Apollo model. BuckEye Cam has taken all their industry leading features from their wireless series and put them in their newest standard trail camera series. BuckEye Cam is top of the line when it comes to Trail Cameras. How the Apollo works: The pictures are stored on a standard SD card inside the camera. The software for changing the camera settings is also stored on the SD card. The software can be accessed through a computer, or a hand-held Palm-Pilot type of device. Some of the Apollo features are: Completely Silent Color photos during the day Extened Range infrared photos at night We use 2 separate image sensors to achieve color photos during the day and infrared at night (actually 2 cameras in one). 4 user adjustable resolution settings 0.3 Meg (640 x 480) 0.8 Meg (1024 x 768) 1.3 Meg (1360 x 1016) 3.1 Meg (2048 x 1536) NEW! 2 Video Modes! Takes Video! Color during the day time and Infrared at night! 640x480 320x240 Up to 1500+ images can be stored at 0.3 Megapixel resolution with a standard 64MB SD memory card. Up to 20,000 images can be stored on a standard 1GB SD memory card. Extremely low power consumption, you can expect to get anywhere from 3000 pictures at 3Mpixel resolution up to 30,000 pictures at 0.3Mpixel resolution. Rechargeable Battery and Charger Included Camera has external waterproof ports built in for optional solar panel and Battery Bank (sold separately) Mounting Hardware Included Completely silent - no motors, drives, etc. Reaction speed: 0.2 seconds. The Apollo takes two pictures on every trigger to adjust for available light. Can take pictures 1 every second at the 0.3Mpixel setting even at night 60 times faster than most cameras. Adjustable delay from 1 second to a couple of hours

IR-RX front
The infrared trigger introduces two new modes of operation to my camera traps:
Mode 1 is a no-hassle bream break mode. Distance is limited to approximately three feet with a single 120 degree SMD IR LED at 30mA. More powerful or more directional-beam diodes will yield a longer beam distance. Aligning this beam is trivial, with an almost 45 degree cone spread from the LED baffle (from a straight line).
Mode 2 is a proximity detector which is somewhat specialized: both the emitter and detector sit side-by-side and if an object approaches within about 1 foot the reflected IR will set off the trigger.

What is Special about the XIR series? NO RED GLOW! - Completely INVISIBLE INFRARED! How the Apollo XIR works: The pictures are stored on a standard SD card inside the camera. The software for changing the camera settings is also stored on the SD card. The software can be accessed through a computer, or a hand-held Palm-Pilot type of device. The Apollo is upgradeable to the ORION wireless version. The ORION version transmits the pictures wirelessly 2 miles to a base station...Even further with the high gain antenna. This means you don't have to visit the camera site(s) to get your pictures! You can even e-mail the pictures anywhere or have them copied to a web page! Some of the Apollo features are: Completely Silent Color photos during the day Infrared photos at night - No "RED GLOW" - won't spook wildlife or alert trespassers Great for Security We use 2 separate image sensors to achieve color photos during the day and infrared at night (actually 2 cameras in one). 4 user adjustable resolution settings 0.3 Meg (640 x 480) 0.8 Meg (1024 x 768) 1.3 Meg (1360 x 1016) 3.1 Meg (2048 x 1536) NEW! 2 Video Modes!
