Day 128 - Blower
I've had my old Sony Ericsson K810 (right) for a couple of years. In terms of doing everything it was designed to do, it has been one of the best phones I've ever had. But lately, the wear and tear and constant use has started to take its toll. Some of the buttons (especially 4 and 6) pretty much stopped working unless you pressed them really hard... and even then it was hit and miss. Overall, I battered it a bit.
So it was time for an upgrade. After about 10 years on the same network, I was planning to defect from Orange to Vodafone.. right up until the point that Orange offered me the handset I wanted at a remarkably low cost :o)
My new Sony Ericsson C905 is probably the best camera phone on the market at the moment. 8 mega pixels with a very good lense and flash. It won't replace the D-SLR (or the point & shoot, for that matter), but it looks like a very worthy replacement for the k810i - which was no slouch in the photography department either.
The C905 is also compatable with wi-fi (internet browsing from the home and work networks) and has GPS (for next time I get lost). Yes, I was tempted by an iphone, but this has everything I need for a quarter of the cost and - most importantly - half the pocket space!
