menu napkin set @ Nu Restaurant
thought that's an interesting way of presenting the menu along with the napkin~
Anywayz, this place is created by the ones behind C and Raincity Grill, and so I've been wanting to go there since they opened in September. French for naked, Nu's tagline is "naked + casual cuisine" where they take a bold and naked approach to classical French cuisine by dispensing with sauces that might mask or hide the true clean essence of each ingredient of a dish -- allowing each seductive flavour to shine through. It offers casual fine dining and is now said to be the best new restaurant of 2005.
The menu is the same for lunch and dinner, but I didn't wanna go at night with the crowd so finally went in for lunch. I didn't expect them to offer the 3 courses / $25 Dine Out Vancouver deal for lunch too tho, cuz nothing on their menu exceeds $20. The food itself tasted nice, so I'll go back some other time to sample more to see~
What I don't really get is the design of the place, how everyone else raves about it being so sleek and sexy... yah sure, it looks nice... but "sexy"?! hmm... oh well, I guess I really do need to go back when it's night time to get a different feel...
