rue cauchoise Taken from Place du Vieux Marche, looking toward Place Cauchoise and my neighborhood. This is like my personal Main Street; I walk down rue Cauchoise a minimum of two times a day, as it's the most direct route between my neighborhood and the city center. It's where I do my laundry, buy my groceries, get my hair cut...pretty much everything except buy my bread and flowers. Good thing it happens to be one of my favorite streets in all of Rouen. On rue Cauchoise, you can find used bookstores, second-hand clothing shops, musical instrument workshops, specialty grocers (Corsican & African), loads of kabob joints, a punk-music shop, and even a €1 store. There's also a Russian restaurant and a pretty good Italian place. Music is always playing. On Tuesdays, there's an outdoor market, so the whole length of the street is lined with fruit and vegetable stands. It gets a little sketch at night, but honestly, what city street doesn't? Pisac Marketplace Eairlier in the day, the market at Pisac, Peru is so busy you can hardly move. Fascinating place where you can buy your corn, potatoes, genuie pigs, native crafts, musical instruments, trophies from the amazon jungle, andall kinds of exotic things I never dreamed of. I particulary liked the giant insects available for my collection.
