except in reverse

From a design standpoint, the archetypes offered by City of Villains are just straight-up more interesting than the ones in vanilla City of Heroes. The older archetypes were designed to fill specific holes, but the villainous types were designed for filling more than one role at once. It’s true even of the most vanilla of all the archetypes, the Corruptor -- an archetype perhaps notable for being almost identical to a Defender, except in reverse.

But there’s more to the archetype than just having a damage primary and a support secondary -- if everything were that easily summarized, I would have been finished with this CoV infamy series on the first week. There are a lot of similarities to Defenders, sure, but the devil is in the details, especially with this particular class. So let’s take a look at the insidious and powerful influence of the Corruptor, whether you’re new to City of Heroes in general or just haven’t played the class before.
There’s another layer of account security on the way for NCsoft master account users. The Korean gaming giant has posted updates on its CoV infamy, Guild Wars, and Aion websites inforrming users that they’ll need to answer some additional security questions to log in to their CoV infamy master accounts.

Once the queries are correctly completed, you’ll be granted CoV infamy one-time access as well as the ability to add that particular computer to an approved list. Login attempts from other computers will of course trigger the questions again, and users that have forgotten the security info entered at account creation will need to contact NCsoft support for assistance.
starting with the new Issue 20 City of Villains infamy page available today. Aside from the two known Incarnate Trials, the page also previews two new task forces for characters in the 20-40 range as well as more respec trials available for heroes or villains who change alignment.

If the overview alone isn’t enough to get you fired up CoV infamy for the upcoming Issue 20City of Villains infamy, the latest installment of the Intrepid Informer previews one of the new areas designed for the patch: a fortress made of lashed-together ships. Gilbert Martinez,City of Villains infamy one of the game’s art leads, explains the process that led to creating an evocative new piece of scenery.
