decided i needed to access the info on my set of mirrored drives that have since the sale of my g5, have been chilling naked. not too many choices on the market for raid set up and decided to go with the firmtek double drive / sata expresscard combo. the speed is awesome, as it blows firewire 800 away, but the inconvenience of two stiff cable and a card that doesn't fit exactly SUCKS!
btw, the mirrored drives formatted from the g5 plug in play perfectly!

the apple store said that they would make a note of it for applecare, but as a custom configuration, i would have to send it back. bummer.... guess i'll be without a laptop for a bit.

State street seen from the capitol square in downtown Madison. Two bikers, two buses and a taxi illustrate a typical nightly scene. I love the bluish snowflakes; they really had to the athmosphere.
If I were in charge, I would ban buses and taxis and allow bikers and pedestrians to use the road itself (not just the sidewalk). Having buses hollows out the street.
This plane has wireless internet for free (SAS: copenhagen - Chicago). I wish all planes did......movies on small screens really can't compete. Sadly, this is an anomaly; the internet service is being phased out due to the bankruptcy of the provider....

Spend money on more lights and triggers and what do I do? Make single light photos. (0.o) Actually tried this the other way around, two strobes cross-lighting the third but wasn't really getting it. light was too hard, spilling all over the place, not spilling enough. So i decided to try it this way: 1 550ex 1/4 power zoomed to 85mm behind and to camera left. 1 silver reflector in front of and to camera right. the background is our bedroom wall, lit by the reflector (double duty, fill and background lighting). The df383's are dialed down to 1/16 (min for these) zoom set to 24mm, with the dispersion plate covering, and the grid spots added to drop another stop or 2. The hot shoe adapters i bought with the CyberSync have both pc and 3.5mm female plugs, which let me daisy chain at least one other strobe. nice trick for using more then one flash in close proximity to each other. (^o^)/

Here is the black wire, soldered to the center tab. I found the best way to solder them was tin the wires, then thread them through the small hole in the tab, fold it back on itself, and solder at the hole.

Wireless power?
We found this guy that was showing his wireless power technology. Those LEDs are powered by the small box in the background, it's a 3volt box of power that can power maybe up to a couple feet aways. These can be made to be more powerful and cover larger areas too.
