Fr. Eamon & Jaina discuss gifts (5 26 9)
((there were other conversations going on in this scene -but it was edited for length and relevancy))
Jaina Lefevre shakes Sister D's hand and then hugs her doll. She turns to look back at the two behind her and waves, then looks up at the priest. "Mister Father? Did God get the present I left him?"
Iohannes Crispien stands and heads down the aisle, turning to cross himself before the crucifix , and then making his way down the steps. He'd see the sister, the group of kids, and Bails and the Father. Smiling with a mew, he says ."Hello."
Eamon Cale sinks slowly to a crouch in front of the lass. "What present might that be, love?" He considers. "Were ye the one who left the drawing, or the wee rock or glass I heard a sister found on the altar?"
Darkness Odigaunt looked up at Father and the woman with him, smile fading slightly. "Oh? Well... Umm, welcome then." She turned to pull something out of her purse, then turned to the class, bag of smaller bags held up. "Anyone ever played with clay?"
Bailey Longcloth's eye brighten seeing her husband "Hi love" she'd turn her attention back to Sr D "Whatever I can do to help you Sr, just say the word"
Eamon Cale glances from the lass to the sister, in time to catch the change in her smile. He arches a dark brow, and frowns. What in hells--? Looking up at Bails, he's grimly relieved to see she doesn't seem to have caught the look, but the sister's reaction surprises him. It's not like her.
Iohannes Crispien smiles, seeing his wife. He'd give a nods ot the Sister before making his way past the kids to Bails, "So how did things go?"
Jaina Lefevre watches him a moment, trying to determine if she's in trouble. She answers softly. "Both o'them. The picture was t'give him a present too 'cause he should has one, and a Mommy picture 'cause I needs one. And the seaglass was a thank you."
Conor Nitely claps his hands together in front of his mouth. "Clay! You remembered!" He's suddenly aware of the crowd around him, side stepping a bit closer to the pews to not be directly in the middle. Waves go unreturned, head ducking down just a little as he waits for his clay.
Eamon Cale looks back to the lass, his hard look softening a bit. "Then aye, love--He got both, and I've no doubt he liked them very much." He studies her a moment. "You're Jaina, are ye not?"
Bailey Longcloth nods and smiles she'd say softly "It went well, I'm going to help the Sr with the classes" she'd seen the Sr's smile fade but chose to not draw attention to it stressing she was helping the Sr not taking over
Jaina Lefevre nods to his question. "Uh huh." She holds out the doll. "And this is Pa-fetic."
Iohannes Crispien nods and smiles, "I'm sure the Sister would be happy to have help." He'd look between Bails and down towards the Father for a moment, then back to Bails, "Should be fun for you too." He'd wink, and his tail twirls happily for her
Eamon Cale chuckles. "Pafetic? Oi, I don't know... she doesn't look pafetic to me. I think she's quite the bonny lass." He tilts his head toward Bails beside him. "This is Bailey. She's going to be a teacher when we open the big school in a few weeks. We're going to see ye there, I hope."
Bailey Longcloth smiles at Ioh and nods "It will be fun" she'd look down at the little girl "Hi Jaina, it's very nice to meet you"
Jaina Lefevre glances back at Sister D and the clay, then up to Bailey. "Hi Bailey lady." She looks back at the priest. "My new /real/ Mommy says that she wants t'talk to you about school. She says I need an ed-a-kay-shen."
River Grau wakes up from his daydreaming as the phone in his pocket puzzed. Pulling it out, he read a text and typed. "Yay.. My plant grew. Remember the plans Sister D?? Miss Alayni says mine grew."
Iohannes Crispien smiles and nods to Bails. He'd look back to the Father, then brings his hand up to scratch the back of his head, then says, "Suppose i'ts my turn to talk with Father... if he has a moment...."
Eamon Cale's smile quirks. "Aye, and she's right. Who's your mum, love?"
Bailey Longcloth looks up at Ioh "Oh?"
Marina Storaro stepped through the front doors of the church, waiting until they shut solidly behind her before stopping, heels digging anchors in the carpet. Her shoulders tensed with a pensive look that scanned those inside, eventually resting on Eamon.
Darkness Odigaunt starts separating bags out of the larger one, clay was seperated by color. With a glance to the others, she lays the colors out in a rainbow, the ones on the end, white and a goldish one glittery. "Last time we made pictures, this time we can make sculptures..." she glances back up to Father knowing what that look was probably for. Saved by River,
