Delia's EG Electric Bike
My co-worker Delia rides this EG electric bicycle from the office. The 200 Watt hub motor provides electric assist and is controlled from a handlebar mounted switch similar to what I've seen on BionX equipped eBikes. The motor is speed governed to 18 mph and the 24V Lithium Ion battery has a claimed range of 35 miles, which isn't too bad.
As near as I can tell, these are imported from Indonesia, retail for about $1000 and are sold mostly online and from scooter stores.
Installing Crystalyte Electric Hub Motor onto donor Bike
Installing the rear hub motor onto the bike is fairly easy. Just your normal bike maintenance tools are needed. We actually recommend using a hard-tail bike for best results as a rear-suspension bike feels a bit "squishy"
