My baby is finally lowered! :D Did so much work on her today. Started out by changing out the headlights cause the ones i had were really dim, so installed some brighter ones. Then moved onto cleaning the whole engine bay, while Travis started taking off the wheels and suspension. After that was all done. Moved onto fixing the exhaust and raising it up a lil and evening out the ride height. :D Took basically all day.. After that we decided to go to a meet all the way in Fairfield. It was its first long drive since id bought the car and its first drive after being lowered. It held up very nicely and the ride is not bad at all, its really smooth actually :). On the way over though, we hit a couple speedbumps and my exhaust fell off. Had to do some quick repairs on the side of the road cause i was shooting sparks at everyone lol. Had to figure out how i was going to get under a low car without any jacks.. Thankfully theres still enough clearance in the back for my to get under. Put it back up with some rubber hose i found and drove on the rest of the night. Nothing went wrong after that, cept every bump on the free way i hit. Spark would light up the road hahah. pressurewash1 Here is a overhead view of the mess I made today. I used degreaser along with some laundry detergent to clean up the engine bay. The pressure washer does a good job of blowing off any paint your 28 year old frame has. I continued blowing off paint in some areas. Not sure how I will tackle the engine compartment painting, I do not want to disassemble everything in here.
