Half Lamp Shade

Selling this vintage midcentury pole lamp - 1960s 1970s
This vintage 1960s or 1970s lamp is a total statement piece, perfect for your vintage, retro, midcentury modern home. (I can totally picture this lamp as the key part of a living room photographed on Apartment Therapy!)
Brass pole and base. Two hanging shades, with three different lighting options (you can have either shade on, or both shades on at the same time). Can't you see this pole lamp in a Mad Men episode?
One of the shades has been damaged on one side (several of the curved pieces on one side are missing), but someone could redo that side of the shade and it'd still be a great piece. And if you aren't crafty but you are also not particularly meticulous, you could do what I've been doing for the last two years after a move: you could position it in such a way that the side with the missing pieces isn't visible to anyone in the room. At a certain angle, no one could tell there was any problem. I'm selling at a much reduced price because of the damage to one shade.
I bought this lamp in 2005 or 2006 from an antique dealer on Ebay for $200 not including substantial shipping. I then paid an electrician friend to fix the wiring to make sure it is current and safe. I think it cost me around $260 in total. Because of the missing pieces to one side of one shade, I'd like to sell it for around $125 (less than half of what I paid after the rewiring).
*** $125 or BEST CASH OFFER takes it. I'd also barter / trade this lamp for a:
-- a cb2 Big Dipper lamp with a white shade
-- a flat panel TV
-- a mid-century modern / Danish wooden chair
-- a Sputnik / atomic lamp or chandelier or mirror
-- a neon "Open" or "Diner" or "Eat" sign
-- store credit to a home organization or home decor store, etc.
-- store credit to a major department store with a home section
Pick up in Brooklyn, or use UShip to bid on a mover who can transport it anywhere for you.
A Foreign Affair
My other half put this ceiling light shade we found (see "The Glass Shield") into one of our whisky barrels. I said fine, then I am putting this cool ceiling fan shade in the planter. And I did. Now we have lamp shades in our garden...and yes, we were both sober and now we have foreign objects in our garden.
