A glazed ceramic floor tile.
An amazing survivor from the medieval age! Still in situ in the Norman chapel crypt,only partially protected from the elements by a modern roof over the altar.
Many of the Abbey ruins are exposed to the ravages of the weather,and I noticed much crumbling and flaking stonework. Apparently little can be done about it without destroying the integrity of the site.
Straight floor tiles
Very straight laid 400mm x 400mm square ceramic tiles, across our living area, from front stairs to living area stairs, taken for the challenge 'straight'.
