The project is complete. The tile is laid and grouted. The baseboards have been attached to the wall and the glass screen is back on the fireplace.

I think it came out pretty well, and I didn't have to pay the F---- Team contractors the $600 they wanted for this little job. Satisfaction.

Laying porcelain tile around a gas fireplace - the tile is installed and grouted. One last cleaning remains. I'm pretty happy with the job I've done, and very happy I didn't pay $600 to a contractor for twelve square feet of tilework.
