EASY WEIGHT LOSS STEPS - EASY WEIGHT

EASY WEIGHT LOSS STEPS - LOOSE WEIGHT VEGETARIAN DIET.

Easy Weight Loss Steps

easy weight loss steps

    weight loss
  • Weight loss, in the context of medicine, health or physical fitness, is a reduction of the total body mass, due to a mean loss of fluid, body fat or adipose tissue and/or lean mass, namely bone mineral deposits, muscle, tendon and other connective tissue.

  • Weight Loss is a 2006 novel by Upamanyu Chatterjee.

  • "Weight Loss" is the fifth season premiere of the American comedy television series The Office, and the show's seventy-third (and seventy-fourth) episode overall.

Here's to the Saints! 11/365

Here's to the Saints! 11/365

Here is the 1st day of my weight loss plan. Step one, watch the Sunday football games from the easy chair. It's obviously going to take some major self discipline to loose weight.

I watched my all time favorite football team, New Orleans Saints play the Denver Broncos. The Broncos beat them 34 to 32 making the Saints 1 win & 2 losses.

I've been a Saints fan ever since I was a little child. I watched the talented Archie Manning become Quarterback. The slogan was "Archie is a Saint" But Archie's awesome talent would only propel the Saints to one even 8 & 8 season during his career. The rest would all be loosing seasons.

The Saints have been in existence since the 60s but, they were a poor disappointing team. Every long term Saints fan such as myself, knows disappointment. Watching my favorite team loose this game today made me happy to be a Saints fan. That's right, happy.

I'm happy to be a fan of a team which had to come a long way. A team that frightens other teams. This is no longer a team looked at with no respect. This game was not an easy win for Denver's coach Mike Shanahan.

My personal opinion is the Saints loosing days ended when John Meecham sold the team to Tom Benson around 1985. Meecham couldn't understand that it took more than 2 years for a coach to make a winning team from scratch. He tended to fire a coach for not having a winning team in one year. My opinion only.

Tom Benson put in a great general manager, and a very good coach named Jim Mora. Mora took the Saints to a 12 win & 3 loss season in 1987. 2nd only to the high power San Fransico team with Joe Montana at Quarterback.

My point is that Yes I get disappointed when the Saints loose. But it is not the same type of disappointment.

Go Saints!!!

I Earned This!

I Earned This!

There's roughly 900 calories in that blender and about 49 g of protein... and I earned every last ounce of it.

This afternoon I kicked @$$ at the gym. I put in 6 miles on an elliptical crosstrainer, keeping a 10 min/mile pace. That was my warm-up. Then I went and hit the weight machines, focusing on just my back.

I've managed to get to the gym 5 of the last 7 days and I'm starting to feel more energetic and less like a slug. Life is good.

Photograph of two East Indian girls preparing rice belonging to the Baille Collection. [Title on photograph is 'Indian girls preparing rice']. Indians formed the second largest racial group in Jamaica after Africans. Tortello notes that “The first ship carrying Indians landed in Old Harbor Bay in 1845. They came from Northern India, 200 men, 28 women under 30 years old and 33 children under 12 years old, 261 people in all… On arrival, the labourers were given one suit of clothing, agricultural tools and cooking utensils. Divided into groups of 20 and 40 they were then sent first by mule cart and later by overcrowded freight trains to plantations in Portland, St. Thomas, St. Mary, Clarendon and Westmoreland”

Further information - Rice

RICE (Oryza sativa and Oryza glaberrima)
Rice is a cereal which forms an important part of the diet of many people worldwide. Domesticated rice comprises two species of food crops in the ‘Poaceae’ (true grass) family, ‘oryza sativa’ and ‘oryza glaberrima’. These plants are native to tropical and subtropical southern Asia and southeastern Africa. The name wild rice is usually used for species of the different but related genus ‘zizania’ both wild and domesticated, although the term may be used for primitive or uncultivated varieties or Oryza.
Rice is grown as a monocarpic annual plant, although in tropical areas, it can survive as a perennial and can produce a ratoon crop and survive for up to twenty years. Rice can grow to 1-1.8m tall, occasionally more, depending on the variety and soil fertility. The grass has long, slender leaves 50 – 100 cm long and 2 – 2.5cm broad. The small wind-pollinated flowers are produced in a branched arching to pendulous inflorescence 30 – 50 cm long. The edible seed is a grain 5 – 12 mm long and 2 – 3 mm thick.
Rice is a staple for a large part of the world’s human population, particularly in Latin America, the Caribbean, East, South and Southeast Asia, making it the second-most consumed cereal grain. A traditional food plant in Africa, rice has the potential to improve nutrition, boost food security, foster rural development and support sustainable land care. Rice provides more than one fifth of the calories consumed worldwide by humans. In early 2008, some governments and retailers began rationing supplies of the grain due to fears of a global rice shortage.
Rice cultivation is well-suited to countries and regions with low labour costs and high rainfall as it is labour-intensive and requires a great deal of water for cultivation. The traditional method for cultivating rice includes flooding the fields after setting young seedlings. Rice can be grown anywhere even on a steep hill or mountain. Although its species are native to South Asia and certain parts of Africa, centuries of trade and exportation have made it commonplace in many cultures.

“When it comes to weight loss and maintenance, diets do not work. Physician-supervised care is critical for long-term success. Much like high blood pressure, obesity is a disease caused by multiple factors, including environmental, genetic, behavioral and chemical influences. Physicians can address all of these factors, where diet simply changes caloric intake,” says Dr. Ziltzer. “By offering meal replacement foods, education on making lifestyle changes and offering strong social support, our new center helps us deliver complete care to more patients than ever.”

Frozen bladder wrack

Frozen bladder wrack

Fucus vesiculosus, known by the common name bladder wrack, is a seaweed found on the coasts of the North Sea, the western Baltic Sea, and the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, also known by the common names black tang, rockweed, bladder fucus, sea oak, black tany, cut weed, dyers fucus, red fucus, and rock wrack. It was the original source of iodine, discovered in 1811, and was used extensively to treat goitre, a swelling of the thyroid gland related to iodine deficiency. In the 1860s, it was claimed that bladder wrack, as a thyroid stimulant, could counter obesity by increasing the metabolic rate and, since then, it has been featured in numerous weight-loss remedies.

What are Friends For?

What are Friends For?

I thought friends were supposed to be those people in one's life that provided support and encouragement. Well, evidently not. Ever since I changed my lifestyle and eating habits, the people around me seem to be trying to sabotage my best efforts.
I am very proud of my modest accomplishements which include losing 20 or more pounds and lowering my blood glucose levels. One would think that those around me would be cheering me onward. Instead, I hear things like:
"If you've lost wait, I can't tell it!"
"Your butts as big as it ever was"
"Give it up! You never stick to these diets you start"
Additionally, coworkers and others critique every bite of food that I eat. It makes me want to withdraw and enjoy my lunch alone. Conversely, people keep presenting me with sweets as gifts, even though they know that I'm diabetic.
I think maybe people are resentful of my success, because I'm accomplishing something that they can't or won't attempt.
Yet, the other day, I received some unexpected encouragement. I coworker whom I haven't seen in a while, and barely know, met me in the hallway. When she saw me, she eed, "Wow, David, you've lost weight!"
I can't put into words how good this made me feel. That one person's kind words erased all the negative crap that I had been hearing up to that point. It gave me the encouragement that I needed to keep going.
