Thomasville is the county seat of Thomas County, Georgia, United States. The city is the second largest in Southwest Georgia after Albany.


Thomasville is a city in Davidson County in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The population was 19,788 at the 2000 census. The city is notable for its furniture industry as are its neighbors of High Point and Lexington.


During the Civil War the county contributed 10 companies totaling approximately 1,100 men to the Confederacy. The state provided salt from salt works known as the "Upper Works" and the "Lower Works.
