    finger foods
  • Finger food is food eaten directly using the hands, in contrast to food eaten with a knife and fork, chopsticks, or other utensils. In some cultures, food is almost always eaten with the hands; for example, Ethiopian cuisine is eaten by rolling various dishes up in injera bread.

  • (finger food) food to be eaten with the fingers

  • (The Finger Food) The Wii Remote is held from the base by the thumb and index finger of the dominant hand

If it refers to yourself or a human, it might also suggest harmlessness, but with the sense of lacking power and your ability to defend yourself, to get what you want from the world in the sense of biting off food, and also of course your

Leo, 9 Months (39 Weeks)

Leo, 9 Months (39 Weeks)

9 months?! My tiny baby has now been outside of my belly for as long as he was in it--and he's not so tiny anymore! I don't know how a pregnancy that seemed to last YEARS is actually the same amount of time that has zipped by in the blink of an eye since Leo's birth.
This little boy must have gotten a lot of his Daddy's good nature, because he is the happiest, jolliest guy around. He's got two tiny teeth now, and we're venturing into the very slow-moving world of finger foods. Baby Mum-Mums are his new favorite thing, as is his Touch-and-Feel Farm Animals book that he got for free at the library, and his new plush veggies from Grandma that rattle and squeak. All he wants to do lately is wiggle and dance while one of us holds him on his feet--he wants to move, but still no crawling. Neither me nor Vitalay gets much done these days; all we want to do is hang out with this chubba-bubba and see how hard we can make him laugh. :)

January 31: Ear infection

January 31: Ear infection

Unfortunately the month is ending on a low for us. Master T is sick for the very first time with a nasty double middle ear infection. We thought it was a cold, but after two nights of no sleep and lots of screaming, we took him to the doctor today. My poor little baby.

And so this is the end of the challenge!

It's been a huge month for us. There have been lots of firsts: first tooth, first finger food, first swimming lesson, first play at the beach and now first ear infection. He also learnt to sit unsupported and commando crawl this month!

I'm new to the EB photography section and flickr and this is the first challenge I've participated in, and I have to say I've really, really loved it. You girls are really inspiring and all your comments have meant a lot to me. See you round!
