Resale
Ricky's sister came back to Biggsville after a semester at Illinois State with an abysmal G.P.A. and a credit card she'd acquired on the same day she signed up for classes. We all agreed: She did not look quite as beautiful on her return as she had on her departure. We'd thought she was getting out. We'd thought she was gone forever.
By January, when she should have been over in Bloomington working toward that degree, Janet was shacking up with some bum in Gulfport and we were exploring her bedroom closet. There was a resale shop across the river that paid decent money for brand-name stuff, and Janet had put that credit card, if not her brains, to good use those past few months.
We could have fleeced her all at once and made a minor killing but instead we sold her stuff one item at a time--a pair of Frye boots that looked like they'd never been worn, a Donna Karan dress we all wished we could have seen Janet don--and blew the money on garbage, candy bars and energy drinks. We would finish them before we left town, our music loud and the windows down, amped on Taurine and high-fructose corn syrup, angrier for some reason than we'd been back in Janet's room deciding what to steal, touching all the things she'd once touched, and breathing in the air she'd once breathed, everything around us teeming with potential, just dying to be converted into something else.
Resale Shop
I was visiting my sister and we came across a resale shop that we didn't know was there. I found a lot of cool things! The lady who owns the store is very nice-the mug wasn't priced so when I paid, she just gave it to me for free!:) The square baking dishes were marked 2 different prices so she charged me the lower price for each.

EROS 1994 FR8
Painted in 1994. I don't remember much about this train. I don't think it was a solo mission. I probably painted this with Monk in one of Minneapolis' super yards. All Krylon. That's pretty obvious to anyone that painted at that time. You certainly couldn't find any Rusto colors like these back then. I believe it is, True Blue, Teal green and baby blue. God, I loved those colors. I swear, I did ten pieces with only those colors. They were the real deal, butter colors at that time. A lot of people had mistaken this car as an engine back in the day. It is not an engine. I don't know what the name of the type of car it is but it certainly had a platform to walk on like an engine. The piece is actually fairly tall and I used to always imagine that when painting a car like this, it was what it would have been like painting a top to bottom subway car. Corny, I know but I was really searching for that feeling at the time. Once again in this piece, I see I hit up Coast to Coast. I think that might have been a crew that I was asked to be apart of out of Atlanta. I remember meeting a bunch of writers at this graphic design studio. One of them being the fr8 guy Learn. I think I was asked at that time to rep it for them in the midwest. Obviously, I agreed. I don't think I just dropped it but maybe in some weird self-affirming time, I decided that because it wasn't as close to my other crews, I just needed to push them harder. Crews........ That's a tough one. I've been through many. I've even had my own at one time. It was 20 deep. Everyone, except myself, fell off. No hard feelings. I joined others with similar goals and values. At this time, I've reduced myself to only one. AKB. I'm still apart of others but am actively trying to rebirth All Kings in the modern day. We've had our time and even had our low points. The thing that always brings me back to the rawness and essence of what this is all about, is that pioneering spirit we all possessed in the 90's. A real take charge, have fun and go hard type of attitude. Really live the lifestyle. Now we may have gotten older and our lifestyles have changed with the times but the truth and the passion and the heart, always stays the same. I hope to get everyone in the crew to feel that energy once again. Also, I'm looking for young heads to take us into the next and thru the next era. People often ask me how they can be down. I tell them, put your effort into what you are most passionate about. Be true to yourself. If you are on our radar, we will seek you out and build a relationship. If you can manage to live up to the expectations and values we hold true, you will be asked to join our family. It's a process. Only few make it but there is always room for growth.

I was out on a hike in Gabarus area (Nova Scotia) with my dog and I spotted this baby seal on the beach. He was full of life and didn't seem to mind us taking a few pictures of him before continuing the hike. Very nice little animal!

We purchased the swing, high chair, travel set, and crib within the first few months of pregnancy. Anything that would hold our precious baby Natalie we wanted to buy early… why? Recalls. We figure that by the time Natalie is born, we’d have owned these products for more than 5 months – plenty of time for these products to be market tested. When it comes time for Natalie to actually use these products we can be fairly certain of their safety. Of course, something could still happen, but the chances are much less.

After 3 days I gave birth to Rafiqh, my breasts produced milk well. During the confinement, I had no problem at all, the breastmilk(bm) was more than enough, alhamdulillah... I think all mommies are same, masa ni susu melimpah2... After the confinement, I bought breastpump, kononnya nak pam bm dan buat stok, senang nak bawa keluar jalan2. Yer laa, mama Rafiqh ni banyak baju one-piece yang sangat susah nak selak kalau nak bf-ing kat luar. I used the pump only twice, hahaha. Why? Sebab sakit, lepas tu susu tak banyak pun keluar... After I asked mommies yang rajin pam2 ni, ooo baru laa tahu, memang sakit awal2 tu, kena pam selalu supaya breasts get use dengan pam, lama2 nanti ok laa. Tapi, sayangnya I dah malas nak teruskan. Lagi senang direct bf-ing jer. Kalau nak outing, bf-ing siap2, for 2-3hours, Rafiqh boleh tahan. Or else, nursing in car, easy! Even nursing cover pun tak ada, I use shawl with reben only... Then I bought tunic blouses banyak2...
Futhermore, bila I check for how long expressed breastmilk(ebm) boleh tahan selepas dipanaskan, only for few hours, hmmm, baik laa tak payah, I bukan ada cooler bag or ice-box yada2 yang lengkap untuk bawa ebm bila nak outing, pulak tu satu hal pulak nak panaskan bila baby nak minum, payah aih. Nanti end up dengan direct bf-ing jugak. So, I put back all the breastpump stuff in the box, simpan dalam almari, hihi... Guna next time laa, adik Rafiqh maybe?! Jangan rosak sudah. Karang membazir je beli ratus2. Tu laa, degil sangat, my mom dah kata jangan beli, gatal nak beli jugak, haa hambik kau!
Botol susu pulak ada banyak, I bought 2 only. Tapi dapat hadiah 4 lagi. Selama ni pakai 1 jer, untuk isi air zam2. I keluarkan dan guna 2, lain2 simpan!
Eh lari topik pulak, nak cerita pasal milk supply, melalut merata2 perginya...
Haa, lepas beberapa bulan, kegawatan susu pun dialami... Masa pregnant, pernah baca tentang milkmaid tea, teh yang boleh membantu meningkatkan penghasilan susu... Memang terfikir nak beli masa kat Malaysia tapi sebab susah nak jumpa kat Ipoh, tak beli... Disebabkan tak pernah pam betul2, tak tahu laa, berapa banyak susu terhasil dalam satu masa, tapi we can feel either we have the milk or not. We can feel breasts full or empty! Pernah jugak I rasa macam no milk, macam baby hisap kosong. Gelabah woo... Masa tu cepat2 cari petua, hehe.. Setakat ni, beberapa petua yang dah dicuba, I dah tahu apa nak buat kalau rasa susu kurang...
Ni cara I nak increase milk supply bila tiba2 rasa risau susu kurang:
- makan lobak putih, I makan mentah, buat salad, mix with apple and dressing
- minum susu soya
- masak bubur + halba
Ni pulak cara I maintain milk supply:
- minum air kosong banyak2
- supplement (multivitamin + calcium) intake
- minum susu
- makan makanan tenusu
- balance diet (orang kata makan buah+sayur banyak2, susu akan manis. Pernah rasa susu ibu? MANIS. Tak macam fm, yucks! Serius, I tak tipu, I pernah rasa. Patut laa Rafiqh refused air masak dll, pandai baby mama)
- enough rest
- no stress (erkk?! duduk rumah pun stress ker? eh, stress jugak laa, hahaha)
- mandi air suam
- massage breasts
- doa, minta dari Allah... Dia yang bagi kan? so minta laa dari-Nya. I minta sejak baby masih dalam rahim lagi...
Apapun, yang paling utama, baby kena kerap hisap supaya breasts stimulate susu dengan baik...
Sebenarnya banyak lagi cara yang boleh dipraktikkan untuk maintain/increase milk supply. Since I'm new-mommy, setakat tu je laa yang I dah buat. Untuk bf, even though it's human's natural process, still there is a price you need to pay. Kena ada usaha, kena ada iltizam, baru boleh berjaya, insyaAllah... Set your target and work hard for it, gambare
Breastmilk Parlor
We went here the next day and I asked them if they had any soy ice cream, but they didn't. There were like 20 flavours of ice cream but none that weren't made of cows' breastmilk. They had a couple flavours of sorbet though. I ended up sharing a blue raspberry slushie with Dom.
I wonder if people realize the cows who produced the breastmilk they're consuming, had their babies stolen from her so that they could have it.

Batu
Batu is Philadelphia Zoo's baby orangutan was born to Tua and Sugi on October 2, 2009. This trip was my first chance to photograph him, but he posed quite a challenge because he will cling to his mother for the first 2 years of his life. Sumatran Orangutans also like covering themselves with blankets, leaves, or plastic tubs for comfort, safety, and protection from the elements.

Day 95 [Feb 4th] Oh, whats another ten pounds?
Today I took care of my friends dog and cats, fed them, cleaned the litter box, ect. Dropped a movie and CDs off at Levi's, checked the mail, watched some tv, read alot, tried taking a nap, ended up watching Juno with the commentary, ended up watching all the deleted scenes, ended up watching the screen tests, ate dinner, uploaded pictures.
