W(h)eezer. [Day 083/365]
I have been coughing for the past six days, and now I'm starting to sound like a squeaky toy. I went to the walk-in clinic on Sunday and was Dx'd with a sinus infection. I had a non-productive dry cough, mild fever, some sneezing followed by runny nose, and occasional nasal congestion. Only clear mucus came out when I blew my nose. I was prescribed antibiotics.
Now, my nose is clear, but I'm still coughing effing my lungs out, have watery eyes, and running a mild fever. I was found severely allergic (super-high fever and seizures) to the pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine as a baby and was never given the rest of the vaccine series as a result. I'm now suspicious that I might have whooping cough. I probably don't and it's just my ignorant, hypochondriac, pre-med student mind.
And on top of that, I have my Organic II final tomorrow. Not feeling too great health or Organic Chemistry wise. :'(
Day 37/365 :: Colorful Affliction
I don't know how many of you have had the flu, but it is a very colorful virus. If you get the full effects of it, you're struck with a list of symptoms as long as a six year old's christmas list. Bright green and bright yellow mucus, rosy red cheeks from all the coughing and fever, even blood when you've got no more mucus to cough up. However, I thought I'd save you all a photo of THOSE kind of colors and give you this instead.
