Flip Camera 1080p
- A camera is a device that records/stores images. These images may be still photographs or moving images such as videos or movies. The term camera comes from the camera obscura (Latin for "dark chamber"), an early mechanism for projecting images. The modern camera evolved from the camera obscura.

- equipment for taking photographs (usually consisting of a lightproof box with a lens at one end and light-sensitive film at the other)
- television camera: television equipment consisting of a lens system that focuses an image on a photosensitive mosaic that is scanned by an electron beam
- 1080p is the shorthand identification for a set of HDTV video modes which are characterised by 1,080 lines of vertical resolution (1,080 horizontal scan lines) and progressive scan (meaning the image is not interlaced, unlike the 1080i display standard).

Ted explains pocket videocams
Ted, from Henry's, came to the AppleSPICE computer club tonight to explain the current crop of HD video camcorders... all small enough for the shirt pocket, all shooting HD video (most at 1080p) with few if any cables needed as flip out connectors were now standard. Some were better for sound, with remote mic ports, others better for low light, and my fav was a rugged sports model which included a "fish-eye" lens, a waterproof body ( for divers), and multiple clamp grip options so it could be attached to just about anything!
Best of all, all eight models he brought were in the under $200 range.
Funny to see the table in front of him so "empty" even though all eight cameras are there... his demo wares are getting smaller and smaller each year!
Sony Bloggie Touch
The Bloggie Touch makes posting photos and video to YouTube, Facebook, Picasa and Flickr a breeze, while the full 1080p HD video recording resolution and the 12.8-megapixel camera should ensure the content is great quality. The flip-out USB arm for uploading and charging is a nice touch and it renders the inevitable lost cables a non-issue.
