Picked up some new sunglasses over the weekend. Tossed that financial responsibility right out the window too! These are Oliver Peoples Victory 58 sunglasses, just like the ones the dude in Burn Notice wears.

Oakley's custom Freightliner
We passed this huge Oakley pickup on our recent trip to Tucson. Goggles and sunglasses must be pretty heavy! Traffic started getting interesting about here and I didn't get a good enough look to even know what make this is. I'm guessing it's a Ford F-650 or an International CXT. Anybody know for sure?

We've Been "Tagged" (by Wet Snout)
This picture was taken when the kids were 5 yrs old at Bruce Park (part of a series....my friend took dozens of family shots for us!)
Anyways.....moving right along! 10 things about us:
10. As you can see above, we like to ham it up! Always alot of joking and friendly sarcasm in our house.
9. We love going places, whether it's close to home or travelling far....wherever we go, we take it all in, literally! We don't just do something for an hour, we stay the whole day!!
8. I am a dental assistant, Jaren and Brooklyn (for now) both want to be vets.
7. I have re-painted, re-decorated and re-done every room in the house. I'm thinking seriously of taking a home staging course, then I could do other people's homes AND get paid!!
6. Jaren is 4 minutes older than Brooklyn. The joke is that he is the "older" brother. 4 minutes, 40 minutes...didn't bother me, Mama had an epidural LOL!
5. We don't eat alot of red meat, we are big pasta and chicken lovers!
4. I got my first camera in my teens and never stopped taking pics, I have a closet full of photo albums. Brooklyn and Jaren seem to be following that same path, they love taking pictures!
3. We have alot of traditions and events we go to every year without fail!
One of the kids favorites....at the end of June we get the fire pit going in the backyard and burn all the schoolwork that comes home in garbage bags!
2. We are all big readers.....lately it's hard to read as many books when I spend so much "fun" time on flickr!!
1. We are all musical and sing/play at least one instrument each. Our house is never quiet....always music playing or someone playing or just our usual loudness!! I like it that way......most of the time!
Oh, I didn't mention...We Love Animals!
(but I think that's obvious looking at our pictures!)
This guy is a tarot card reader.
He also asks me out on a date about once a month. I'm not sure if he's really persistent or if he just asks everyone on a date so he forgets who he asked. Either way you would think someone who could predict the future would know that I was going to say no.
This time he creeped me out a bit, because I was coming off of working for 28 hours straight and hadn't had any sleep and was hiding out under my hat and sunglasses. He asked me my birthday, which I told him, and then he proceeded to say that people with my sign tend to stay up all night and not sleep, and that they have the potential to be very successful and get advanced degrees, and some even become doctors. Now why those were the 2 things he chose to tell me about my sign, I don't know, but it was a bit eerie so I got out of there fast.

Flying over a glacier in Alaska
Another one from the Alaska trip in June.
Flying back to Kodiak Island from Katmai (where we went to observe the great grizzly bears) the pilot started flying up to the top of the near mountains and then went down flying over the glacier up to the end, near the beach. Really incredible.
This is not an HDR photo.

No HDR.
entering Blackcomb Glacier...
This photo was taken at the top of the Horstman Glacier, not far from the T-Bar top station, on the dividing ridge between the Horstman and Blackcomb Glacier valleys. Photo taken Easter long weekend 2006.
Why not join the mile down club?
The elevation here is about 2245 metres (7347 feet) above sea level. Whistler village in the valley below is only at 640 metres (2100 feet). So skiing peak to valley is 1.6 km vertical (not quite a mile, 99%)

OAKLEY CARBON FIBER SUNGLASSES - OAKLEY CARBON
Oakley Carbon Fiber Sunglasses - Hd Sunglasses Readers - Sunglasses Inspired By.
Oakley Carbon Fiber Sunglasses
- Carbon fiber (carbon fibre), alternatively graphite fiber, carbon graphite or CF, is a material consisting of extremely thin fibers about 0.005–0.010 mm in diameter and composed mostly of carbon atoms.
- One of the lightest frame and component materials, carbon fiber (also called just carbon) is unique in that it's a fabric, not a metal. This allows gossamer weights, incredible strength and impressive frame/fork compliance (vibration damping) because the fibers can be oriented in myriad ways.
- A material consisting of thin, strong crystalline filaments of carbon, used as a strengthening material, esp. in resins and ceramics
- A synthetic material consisting of fibers glued together with epoxy that is very strong for its weight.
- Glasses tinted to protect the eyes from sunlight or glare

- United States sharpshooter who was featured in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show (1860-1926)
- Oakley, Inc. is an eyewear company based in Foothill Ranch, California making sunglasses, sports visors and ski goggles. They also make watches, clothing, bags, backpacks, shoes, glasses, football (American) and hockey eyewear, and other accessories.
- The Oakley Key Determination Protocol is a key-agreement protocol that allows authenticated parties to exchange keying material across an insecure connection using the Diffie-Hellman key exchange algorithm. The protocol was proposed by H.
- Annie (1860–1926), US markswoman; full name Phoebe Anne Oakley Mozee. In 1885, she joined Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and was the star attraction for the next seventeen years
Carbon Fiber MP3 Player
Here is my carbon fiber texture again, this time, with a fictional mp3 player on top. I tried to make the player as realistic as possible and I think it came out nicely. Side note: The menu buttons are copied from my Craig mp3 player. Also I chose Way Away by Yellowcard for the screen since they are my favorite band and it's one of my favorite songs. (The numerical time of the song shown played is a random guess.)

Rustic Sky Earrings
I started with just sterling silver wire and the finished stones. Soldered rings, then hammered and stamped them (with suns, circles, and *'s). I handcrafted and hammered the fronts of the earwires. I wrapped gorgeous topaz briolettes to the bottom and dangled light blue Israel-cut rondelles on handmade headpins. Oxidized.
