USACE, EUCOM celebrate opening of special needs facility in Georgia
Local residents celebrate the opening of the Martkopi Special Needs Facility in Georgia Sept. 8, 2011, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Representatives from the U.S. Embassy Tbilisi, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District, U.S. European Command, U.S. Agency for International Development and Republic of Georgia gathered together with local residents and members of the media to observe the opening of the specialized facility. The renovations were managed by the Europe District and funded by EUCOM’s Humanitarian Assistance Program. USAID provided funding to furnish the facility.
