I have to admit, this is not the best piece of embroidery I've done in my life, I scaled the pattern too small and should consequently have used back stitch instead of split stitch, so that and having trouble tearing away the stabiliser, has meant the work looks a little fuzzy. Still, it's a lovely design and I think it's quite likely I'll stitch it up again, if anything because I always want a second go at something that didn't work out properly the first time!
bean sprout shirt
i made this shirt for my 1-year old niece. it's felt applique and embroidery, with a smaller little vine on the back shoulder. the biggest challenge was hiding all the knots on the front (since i didn't want the inside to be itchy...) i'm sure there's a better, sanctioned way to do that, but this was my first attempt so i made it up as i went along (like usual).
