My Swedish House: stairwell from landing View from the upstairs landing, looking down the staircase. The lamp is 1920s, a marbled opaque glass bowl, with all the original chrome plated fittings (the lightbulb holder is in the shape of an inverted tulip). On the floor is another handwoven rag rug. A cat draught excluder can be glimpsed to the bottom left. My house in Mullhyttan, Narke, Sweden. My Swedish House: the landing The upstairs landing with dormer window, and my Victorian witch's ball. The curtain is old: white cotton lawn; blue motifs embroidered by hand - also a glimpse of another handmade woven rag rug. On the window sill is a mohair Steiff cat and a Steiff Billy goat in mohair with horns (both date from ca 1950). My Swedish house, Mullhyttan, Narke province.
