Banana Crepes
Breakfast Day 5.
So they're more crepe-shaped agglomerations of stuff than they're actually filling rolled in something else. I should have taken the photo before I started to dig in, but it looked and smelled so interesting, I couldn't wait.
The main thing: REAL BANANA. You know how real banana and artificial banana flavor are completely different? Wow, banana, but not in an overwhelming way. It reminds me of my mom's banana bread dough. Delicious. :9
I think people would have varying reactions to the mushy texture. I didn't mind it. Especially on the heels of the last four days of buckwheat cereals. This was a wonderful change. I wanted to lick the inside of the container when I was done.
Ingredients: (banana, macadamia nuts, cashews, lemon, honey, Braggs liquid aminos, vanilla, Sauce (strawberries) (215 calories)
What continues to jump out at me is the ingredients on all these foods are completely recognizable, whole foods. I might not be familiar with some of the preparation methods, but it gives me some confidence I could actually make some of this stuff myself.
Count Rawcula and Cashew Milk
Breakfast Day Two: Count Rawcula and Cashew Milk
Count Chocula this is certainly not. And, of course, you can't expect it to be anything like the overly processed, fake food that is Count Chocula. One of the main differences is that the buckwheat does not get soggy in milk. By the end of breakfast my jaw was tired. One of the delightful surprises was that my cashew milk turned chocolatey!
I don't think I could eat this every morning. And I need to eat less than I think. So far, though, it seems to be keeping me full. And I just like saying Count Rawcula.
